Folate
I have very high parietal cell antibodies and a long history of
anaemia
and neurological and other symptoms without b12 injections but haven’t been diagnosed with PA because the IF test was negative. That was 14 years ago and I’m now 61. Should I be pressing for another IF test now I’m older?

Help/advice needed -1st marathon in 4 weeks + really struggled this week...anaemia or overtraining?
Hi, I've got my first marathon in 27days -well its actually 45km (Adidas Terrex South Downs). It's quite hilly (2770 ft ascent) and so I've been mostly training on the Downs. Had a couple of setbacks in April/May, but since then have managed to stick to my plan, but have perhaps overdone the increase

Adrenals or Not Adrenals
Well, further to my post last week, I've had the results of both my faecal occult blood test (for new re-occurring digestive issues) and BNP blood test (for indications of heart failure) and all have come back normal with no further action required. The extreme fatigue has improved significantly

Update
I know members will probably tell me off for supplementing with iron but in my defence it did seem an avenue worth pursuing due to my issues with iron and
anaemia
in the past. I'm so fed up with feeling ill.

Ectopic Beats or Something More?
My GP did various tests... the results of which all ruled out
anaemia
, diabetes and thyroid as being possible causes. Heart failure was also ruled out but still they kept happening.

Possible Pernicious Anemia
Hello all, I have been feeling ill for months now. As I write, it is August 2022, I was diagnosed with low iron stores, ferritin of 13 ug/l in March this year. I have been on tablets for the past 6 months or so. Although recently I have been experiencing, headaches, vomiting, weakness, dizzyness to name

Iron panel results
In early Sept my ferritin came back: 25.9 (10-291) so I asked for an iron panel. I am a bit confused by the transferrin result as I have read that if low iron then transferrin should be high? Mine is below range. Oct 22: Ferritin: 28.9 (10-291) Iron serum: 13.7 (9-30.4) Transferrin: 2.42 (2.5

The importance of getting serum ferritin above 100 µg/l for hypothyroid patients
None of the women had
anaemia
or erythrocyte indices outside the reference range although all had serum ferritin <60 µg/l.
Restoration of serum ferritin above 100 µg/l
ameliorated the symptoms in two-thirds of the women.

Folate level
H i everyone, hope you are all well? I had my folate checked and my level came back as 2.9ng (3.1ng - 19.9ng reference range) Doctor said not to worry about it as it was only slightly under range. My question is even though I have B12 injections should my folate be in range and should the doctor

SERUM BLOOD TESTS
Good morning, I had a blood test 4/3/22. Just checked my results online. These were tested- Serum vitamin B12 level, Serum ferritin level , Serum folate level. The result is borderline & doesnt need any further action. Shall I contact the GP and follow it up?

Is it all about the range?
Hi everyone I was just reading up on thyroid globulin antibodies as I had a test done by Medichecks in Aug 2022 which had me within normal range and I was wondering whether people without thyroid problems had these antibodies too.
Thyroid Globulin Antibodies (TgAb) 48IU/L (reference <115)

Help!
but having suffered from heavy periods over the years and knowing that my Mum suffers from
anaemia
too it would make sense that my iron levels could be causing the RLS.

Iron blood test result - confusing
Hi all, Recent iron test (fasted, no supplements for iron in months): Iron: 36.1 (r5.8 - 34.5) Ferritin: 60.1 (r13 - 150) So my ferritin is a little low, but why then is the iron in my blood over the normal range? Should I be worried? I can't take supplements with such a high iron result? Do I need
