Amlodopine reaction
Has anyone had a problem with the use of amlodipine? I take Keppra (2500 daily) and Lamotrogene (150mg daily) and also take amlostin 5mg daily, ramipril 1.25mg daily for blood pressure control plus artorvastatin 20mg daily cholesterol control. There appears to be a shortage of amlostin (5mg daily) and

My husband had a heart attack in January this year - he had 5 bypasses 20 years ago - he was sleeping ok before with mild sleeping tablets>
now with these tablets he has chronic insomnia. We live in France and am at a loss as what to do now. He is taking Atorvastatine and Amlodipine amongst others. Can he stop taking these and with what side effects. All help appreciated. Talking to Dr. (who is great) tomorrow but need some info.

Thyroid community and Lupus community ... I really need your thoughts right now
Hi all, I post on both sites as I have hypothyroidism and UCTD... with a few other things thrown in. Doctors solution to the swollen feet. Step one
He has asked me to stop the amlodipine 5mg that I take every day for high blood pressure. We are giving it a week and then I shall see him again and decide what to do. If this improves he will put me on a different BP tablet. Circulation is fine. Given me some cortisone cream for the rash on my legs

I have had to change blood pressure tablets from Valsartan to Candesartan last week. My blood pressure dropped to a low reading of 106 / 72
I used to take 80mgs twice a day of Valsartan and was prescribed 8mg once a day of Candsesartan. I began to feel light headed and went to see the doctor who halved the dose. I have taken nothing in the last 3 days and my bood pressure is now 120 / 84 .Could the effects of Candesartan still be lowering

Does amlodipine help with Raynauds symptoms? I do take blood pressure medicine Losartan but have been on for years might change meds.
Also, notice a fine rash on several toes as my feet warm up and have treated with cortisone and antifungal with no change for months. Is this just part of Raynaud's?

Does anyone else have normal systolic blood pressure but always high diastolic at about 90 to 100? I am on irbesarten 150 and amlodipine 5.
I had AF also but warfarin and bisolol 10 has normalised my pulse. Just can't never stand what it means to have high diastolic readings. I have a home monitor so can keep check on it. Any comments please. Goldiwonder.

Anybody on statins who's got problems getting off to sleep
Was on simvastatin for 5 years after a TIA in my left eye. My artery was absolutely clear of clots so it wasn't clear why it had happened. My father died of a heart attack at 49 though and my siblings and I all have high blood pressure which I have now under control with amlodipine. Also lost 5 kg. GP
