Last year I was given Levothyroxine after RAI treatment . I was also taking Amlodipine which was keeping my blood pressure fine . I spent the whole year feeling quite unwell . Tinnitus , tiredness , and some very scary episodes of vertigo . I asked the Endo for an alternative to Levothyroxine but he

My husband had a heart attack in January this year - he had 5 bypasses 20 years ago - he was sleeping ok before with mild sleeping tablets>
now with these tablets he has chronic insomnia. We live in France and am at a loss as what to do now. He is taking Atorvastatine and Amlodipine amongst others. Can he stop taking these and with what side effects. All help appreciated. Talking to Dr. (who is great) tomorrow but need some info.

Doctors solution to the swollen feet. Step one
He has asked me to stop the amlodipine 5mg that I take every day for high blood pressure. We are giving it a week and then I shall see him again and decide what to do. If this improves he will put me on a different BP tablet. Circulation is fine. Given me some cortisone cream for the rash on my legs

Does amlodipine help with Raynauds symptoms? I do take blood pressure medicine Losartan but have been on for years might change meds.
Also, notice a fine rash on several toes as my feet warm up and have treated with cortisone and antifungal with no change for months. Is this just part of Raynaud's?

Does anyone else have normal systolic blood pressure but always high diastolic at about 90 to 100? I am on irbesarten 150 and amlodipine 5.
I had AF also but warfarin and bisolol 10 has normalised my pulse. Just can't never stand what it means to have high diastolic readings. I have a home monitor so can keep check on it. Any comments please. Goldiwonder.

Anybody on statins who's got problems getting off to sleep
Was on simvastatin for 5 years after a TIA in my left eye. My artery was absolutely clear of clots so it wasn't clear why it had happened. My father died of a heart attack at 49 though and my siblings and I all have high blood pressure which I have now under control with amlodipine. Also lost 5 kg. GP

Waiting for test results for hypothyroidisum as I haven't been officially diagnosed as yet, I'm currently taking 10mg Ramipril and 5mg of Felodipine for high blood pressure, would it be ok to take Levothyroxine too?

After years happily on 50mcg thyroxine is it possible dose needs altering?
25yrs ago I was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism. I was on carbimozole for quite a while but after regular blood tests I had radio active iodine. This however caused hypothyroidism and I was prescribed 75mcg levothyroxine. Several years later a blood test showed that this was possibly too much so reduced

Amlodipine & PAFs
3 years ago I was prescribed Amlodipine for high blood pressure. Since then I have had 3 attacks of PAF. I have seen on some website forums that Amlodipine can cause fibrillations. Does anyone know any more about this or had any similar experiences?
