Hi, I have OA in my right hip diagnosed 3 years ago and slow increase in pain. In July I saw my GP as pain was at an all time high, I was sent for an xray and got a consultant referral. Saw consultant in August and have an appointment in new year for a hip replacement as it's now bone on bone. My pain

Sleeping Meds
Are there any sleeping medications that don't increase RLS symptoms? I have tried CBD and Melatonin but neither have helped. Over the counter meds and Amitriptyline made the RLS unbearable . I am taking Lyrica and Tramadol atm but they don't help with the sleeping thing. Many thanks in advance

Nerve pain legs & feet
Hello, I’ve tried Gabapentin and wasn’t able to tolerate it. Currently I’m on 10 mg of amitriptyline, but doesn’t do much but give me a good night’s sleep (20 mg leaves me groggy all day) I’ve searched this site for posts but can’t find the one about suggestions for brands of creams I can try to relieve

Let's talk about temper and nerves....anyone experiencing problems in the evening while on Prednisone and Amitriptyline?
I take 18.5 mg of prednisone in the morning and 17.5 mg amitriptyline at bedtime. I've noticed a pattern-- I'm short-tempered, get hot flashes, and extremely jittery by 5:00 in the evening. Sometimes I'm overly tired. This isn't the case all the time though, and it really bothers me. I'm wondering if

Struggling to accept FND diagnosis.
I am a 21 year old male with no prior health issues at all, I have not even really had a proper cold. 2 months ago I got a bad case of dandruff, extremely tingly and itchy. I got myself quite worked up about it, convincing myself I had psoriasis and a lot of other nasty skin conditions, because I could

Advice on meds that are prescribed with Pred
I’m now on my third week of 25mg Pred as a recently diagnosed PMR sufferer, and likely to be on it for some time, so Consultant has also prescribed me omeprazole 20mg daily, evacal D3 1500 mg twice a day and alendronic acid 70mg once a week, all to help with the side effects of Pred! Does everyone else

Hello all I have been having a particularly rough time recently dealing with my CFS as I’ve had it for 8 years and am worst then I have been in a very long time. I don’t know if anyone else struggles more when it gets colder but for me it’s the worst time of year. Does any one have any recommendations

I was prescribed with 10mg Amitriptyline to help me with my migraine, sleeping disorder and gastritis. In recent years, I also develop depression. Another clinician continue this meds for me and after almost two years, he recommended a change of meds which is Lexapro. I’ve taken it for two weeks and

Running out of treatments
I failed on Rituximab this year after 11 years ( 16 cycles). The team decided to try me on Tocilizumab (TCZ) seeing as its also a b cell depleter. It took them 14 weeks to get organised by then I was in a state so had a depo the day I started the TCZ. After 12 weeks I had flared again so had another

Amitriptyline and AF
Just been prescribed Amitriptyline for neck pain and lack of sleep. Just read leaflet it says do not take if you have disturbance of the heart rhythm as seen on a ECG. My doctor said they would be alright with my AF. Unsure whether to take them. Anyone else take them?

I know I'm repeating myself but want to be clear. Is it correct that if you test negative for this it's reliable? I've not had the intrinsic factor test. I'm asking as I'm getting the vibe as one year in now the surgery want to decrease my B12 injections. B12 was put on my latest blood form after
