MTHFR treatment
Hi all, i know you are not all doctors, but to be honest here in the UK the doctors don't have a clue what im talking about, so hoping someone on here does and i has an opinion. all my symptoms started when i was given Septrin which wiped out all my folic acid and caused a long un-diagnosed deficiency

Pain in right temple
Had a stinker of a day yesterday. Saw GP 8.20am as had intense pain in right temple for 4 days. Got sent straight to eye casualty at RVI hospital as GP suspected temporal arteritis. Doctor at RVI was rude, said it can't be that as I'm too young ( I'm 42 ) and people over 50 tend to get it. But my gp

Amitriptyline
Good evening everyone. Just wondered if any of you have been prescribed amitriptyline for endo pain. I've got pain running down my left left leg (from my tail bone to my knee) and have been prescribed amitriptyline alongside my usual pain killers. Apparently it's most commonly used as an anti depressant

update on son after boxing injury....amitriptyline tablets
Hi all, hope you are all well. Update on my son who suffered a head injury during a boxing match in January. He finally got an Mri scan . He had to rush the results as he needed clearance to fly ( I'm in australia and he came here a day ago) . The hospital faxed his results through to his GP with a covering

Hi all I'm new to this community, having been diagnosed on 26/05/17 by Dr Ong, from Royal Free. I need to ask if anyone has lots of pain in legs & arms, not only during, but between flares. My EM affects feet & legs, hands & wrist, & I'm starting to feel heat & stinging on ears, face & scalp.... My hands

Hi, I have read with interest the many posts that people write, gleaning some really valuable info over the past few years since I discovered this fabulous site, thank you. So, now that I have a problem of my own, I'm turning to you lovely people for some advice. I was diagnosed with RA four years ago

GP appointment
I saw the GP this morning and it was ok. I had a few questions about various symptoms such as sweating, tiredness, ringing in ears, dizziness and depression. I dont want to just accept these are part of fibro and I have to live with them, but that seems the case. My blood pressure was taken and thats

Pain in Low Back, Buttocks, Legs, and Feet
I'm a newbie. First post. In my 60's. I'm sure many of you will recognize my story as your own in dealing with pain. I have had increasing pain for over 15 years, and now I can't work and can't get disability. I have had decompression surgery on L4-L5 (which they call a foraminotomy ) with no success

Diagnosed with GAD, Prescribed Amitriptyline
After a long wait, i finally went and saw an actual psychiatrist who through a series of questions has diagnosed me with a "textbook" case of Generalized Anxiety Disorder. Its what i figured anyway going in so it wasnt a surprise. She has prescribed me 25mg amitriptyline for the first 3 or 4 days then
