Diagnosed with PAF a year ago, prescribed various meds including
amiodarone

I would like to thank everyone who gave me advice and just a quick update I went to a and e at the queen elizabeth hospital in kings lynn and they took me straight to the resus area (that was scarry) and treated me on a drip with
amiodarone
hydrochloride and my heart beat is now varying between 90=116

Svt’s and Afib
I have had multaq, tioksen,
amiodarone
, flecainide. I now am on metropolol, fosinopril, and eliquis. I have read on this site where people are on bisoroil and soidoil? My cardiologist is taking the conservative approach. Says the Eliquis is the best defense.

10 weeks post ablation
So, I’ve been taking
amiodarone
now 200mg per day for two weeks and so far so good..... until yesterday. The ectopics started first thing then the monster AF kicked in and lasted for around 8 1/2 hrs. I had my hopes up so high after no major ‘episodes’ in two weeks, then this.

Amiodarone peri-ablation
I have been told to take
amiodarone
three weeks before & three weeks after my first ablation. Has anybody else had experience of this drug?

Apparently it is a sort of hybrid of
Amiodarone
without the nasties. Thanks.

Can ablation make arrhythmia worse? Being wise in selecting the options.
The EP suggests strong antiarrhythmics now (propafenone,
amiodarone
etc) that could well be taken before the ablation, with better outcome, when I had just plenty of PVC's.

life sucks
So, stopped
amiodarone
because it was killing me. Then, AFib comes back stunningly. So, back on
amiodarone
again. I figure I'm screwed either way, until I get an appointment for the ablation thing. what is one to do?

Bypass surgery burning, nausea from Amiodarone
Has anyone else experienced these symptoms with the ingestion of
Amiodarone
? and if so, did time or any other remedies solve this issue? I would greatly appreciate any and all input.

Wolff Parkinson White - SVT - Untreatable.
They’re discussing using prepafenone or
amiodarone
if the digoxin doesn’t work effectively to control her regular SVT episodes.

Thyrotoxicosis
Has anyone else had this side effect of
amiodarone
(I’m sure that’s what caused it)? Or a thyroid issue? Thanks - Nick

Amiodarone Clinical Trials for low dose medication
I take 200mg maintenance of Amio daily and became intrigued as to what was a low dose? After some research i realised that the majority of trials were decades of years old, some of which had few sampling numbers but that 200mg was being quoted as a "small" maintenance dose. Then i came across a relatively

Backed off on the Amiodarone and went back into AF. What are my options?
I was started on
Amiodarone
to convert me out of AF. 800 mg/day for three days converted me. Was given a green light to halve it but began waking up at 4 am with a bad headache and other side effects. Was told to stop for a day or so and then halve it again, but I took another day off.

Lowest maintenance dosage of Amiodarone daily?
Wondering, too, if I can simply stay off the
Amiodarone
until Monday? So far, still in NSR. Clearly, this med is not being well tolerated by me. Ablation scheduled for October 3.

Just started
amiodarone
yesterday. Instruction leaflet scared the living daylights out of me! Day 2 now and so far so good. Main issue for me is that I have been permanently knackered for about 2 years! Cardioversion planned in next couple of months.
