Fluid in my lungs and heart slightly enlarged
I have completed two courses of FCR but have been becoming quite breathless and with tightness in the lower neck/upper chest area. My consultant arranged for a chest x-ray which shows I have a little fluid in my lungs and a marginally enlarged heart. Could this have been caused by the FCR drugs or

Does anyone have experience with Humira for Takayasu's Arteritis ?
OUr niece aged 13 is currently on methotrexate, prednisone as well as frusemide, ramipril now stopped, omeprazole. On the outside she is positive but very tired a lot of the time. On the inside, is another story. She first went into hospital last April and it is nearly a year since she started treatment

Can anyone advise me on these blood results.
Doc stated all was normal except folic acid now prescribed 5mg per day for 3months (what of the results led the doc to diagnose this?) I originally went for blood tests to check B12 etc as advised on this site - does anyone know if the test results below indicate B vitamin issues? I am on levo 225 per

Have been told that Ramipril can cause AF. I take 10mg along with Bisoprolol 7mg, digoxin 250mg and furosemide 40mg,warfarin
for high bp and AF which has become persistent since November when I had bronchitis and then pleural effusion. Does anyone take this same concoction or know more about Ramipril.

Speedy meds
Went to the GP yesterday for an X-ray result. It showed some possible excess fluid on the lungs and a possible enlargement of my heart. I've also been putting on weight faster than a sumo wrestler and my ankles and feet have been swelling too. He immediately arranged a blood test with a follow-up

New to all this and looking for some guidance from those with more experience
I'm a previously fit and healthy man of 58 and have gone from a sore knee, then a swollen calf less than a year ago, through a spell in A & E with chronic kidney failure, and blood pressure of 260 over 190(!), to a diagnosis of localised scleroderma (anti RNA polymerase antibodies positive) and accompanying

So much medication.
I have been taking Dabigatran 150mg once a day for about eight weeks and it seems to suit me a lot better than warfarin but from what I have read lately it seems that I should be taking it twice daily. Is it possibly that because of other medication, ( Candesartan 32mg - Bisoprolol 2.5mg - Furosemide

Just back from seeing GP regarding my breathlessness
Managed to see GP this morning as been breathless for past 4 weeks. She had given me 7 day course of Prednisolone which I finished last weekend and it did no good at all. At that time she didn't think there was infection so no antibiotics. Today she sounded my chest and said she heard crackle and

I have had a problem with swollen feet for several weeks now for which I am taking furosemide, this keeps it under control
to a certain extent. I have noticed that I have decreased sensation below knees in both legs, I feel as though I am wearing knee high socks. I also suffer from cramp & itching in the feet. I presume this is caused through WG but does it also mean there is some nerve damage.

Swollen ankles.
My doctor has prescribed Furosemide 40 mg for my swollen ankles, he says he doesn`t know what the cause is but it could be a number of things. they only swell in the daytime and each morning when I awake they are back to normal. Can any one give me any advice on this? it would be much appreciated.

Will the swollen legs & feet ever go away with CSS?
I'm still learning about vasculitis, as a recently diagnosed patient, and am now in week 10 of my treatment for Churg Strauss Syndrome on daily doses of 10mg Prednisolone and 1000mg CellCep. In the early weeks I had quite bad leg/ankle/foot swelling, particularly my left side, and was eventually put

I wonder whether I should take the Furosemide tablets ?
Doc prescribed for my very swollen ankles and feet ... I am not sure what makes me reluctant to take them. Anyone with any experience good or bad with this medication ? thanks Julie
