AF diagnosis but feeling suffocated when not in AF as well??
Having a bit of a rough time here. In and out of fast AF although medicated. Looks like I might have an enlarged heart, had echocardiogram done about 6 or more weeks ago, and heart monitor for 7 days. I know they definately captured some of my issues because of a few of the days I was so ill. Cardiologist

Dependent Oedema
Went to routine cardiologist appointment today and discovered why my ankles were often swollen. Although there are serious ailments that could cause lower leg and foot swellings, I learned that mine was "dependent or gravitational Oedema" which I had never heard of. Given exercise advice and Furosemide

Isosorbide
This has just been increased to 40mg twice a day from 30mg twice a day. Despite the small increase I have started to get really bad headache which I can't shake off. Has anyone else experienced this and if so is it short lived? I also take verapamil and furosemide. With many thanks,

Failing Heart/Overactive Thyroid
Feeling very alone with all this, especially at his time. Has anyone else had similar symptoms to me? I started with AF about 7 years ago. It was treated with (the dreaded) Amiodarone for 2 years, (worked well) but I had to stop taking it when I developed overactive thyroid. From February 2019 I have

Audio books
Does anyone know where I can get audio books where I don’t have to pay a subscription, just want to be able to buy them as and when I want them, but all the sites I have looked at you have to have a subscription. I want to try this as a way to relax me and help me get to sleep. Thanks x🌈

How do you feel daily since your diagnosis? Am I normal?
Back in Nov. of 2019 I had bad swelling in my abdomen so a friend took me to the ER. I was a daily beer drinker 8-12 a day for approximately 26 years. The last 7 of those years I was drinking Vodka and soda. They said I had problems with my liver and needed paracentesis, I stayed in the hospital for

Sorry another random question
Hi all. Sorry I keep asking random questions....has anyone ever experience a severe dry mouth when taking medications? My mums mouth only now again drys and shrivels up so much it’s quite strange to witness. She takes water and then it’s fine again. She’s sipping water all day long. I contacted her GP

Does anyone else have swollen eyelids in the morning?
Hello lovely forum members, I have Hashimotos & (mild) TED. My eye dryness, grittiness & pain seem to have subsided (thankfully) but I’m waking up again with very swollen upper eyelids. I think I’ve read someone refer to them as ‘marshmallow eyes’- the swelling does look like a marshmallow! My recent
