Steroids - Everything you need to know!
Hi guys A follow on from my ‘inhalers -what to take and when’ post ( https://healthunlocked.com/asthmauk/posts/144713745 ) I thought I’d do a post about steroids today (as I build up to doing the other asthma drugs 😅). Hopefully this will help to alleviate some fears, and give some people some guidance

Random symptoms and new allergies??
I wondered if anyone has had anything similar to me as this year has been terrible and the doctors and nurses I have seen aren’t able to give much explanation. My symptoms consist of my chest becomeing really tight, it almost feels like the back of my throat is tight and my breath feels wheezier too

How can you tell the difference between asthma and a chest infection?
Following on from the posts about antibiotics. I have looked at the useful information re: asthma and chest infections on the site and am still not sure where I am with it. I had an asthma flare up last week following a good spell and a decrease of Seretide 250 dosage to 1 puff 2 x per day alongside

Asthma nurse, long term medication
Hi all hope you’re doing well. Been for my first appointment with the asthma nurse to check inhaler technique etc, she was very nice. The way she way talking was that she classed me as having a diagnosis of asthma and asked about symptoms/triggers. She read that the gp had suspected it a few weeks ago

Jogger with asthma
Hey guys just wanted to see if anyone on here has asthma? I started couch to 5k yesterday and went for the second one today. I go at my own pace and i still seem to get asthma. I feel really restricted because of my condition. But i try not to use my inhaler as i dont want to rely on it!

Blocked from return to work w/ controlled asthma?
My context is that I acquired this
asthma
in my mid-20s and seemed linked to
allergic
rhinitis and I developed a random intolerance to ibuprofen which triggers the asthma. It's completely controlled now and I don't notice a thing - I feel like perhaps it is inflammatory.

Asthma and pregnancy
Hi, I'm new here. :-) I have severe asthma and am struggling with a lot of asthma attacks and sickness each winter. However, I normally have no problem with my oxygen saturation. We're planning to get pregnant and it would be the most practical to begin trying in the beginning of summer. I am however

Asthma attacks, panic attacks and what to do?
Hi I'm new on here so thanks in advance for any help/advice. I was diagnosed with asthma about 14 years ago. Last week I had my second asthma attack this year- thankfully whilst on Facetime to the 111 Dr so he called the ambulance and I went to A&E again. I usually manage my asthma well and am not too
