He has severe

Winter Triggers ❄️
Around 60% of people with asthma say that the cold weather triggers their symptoms. You can reduce the risk of cold air triggering an asthma attack when you are out and about by trying our Scarfie trick. Simply wrap a lightweight scarf loosely around your nose and mouth to warm the air you breathe in

I went to the gym the other day and started feeling short of Breath easily and have done for a few days now.. I still haven’t used any inhaler as I’m not sure i have asthma due to my peak flow being 800

Let's talk about....phlegm!!
We might not like talking about, or looking at our phlegm but it can actually tell you a lot about what’s happening in your lungs. Coughing up more phlegm than usual can be a sign that your airways are inflamed, and the colour of your phlegm can also be a good indicator for what’s happening in your

Colonoscopy yesterday
Hi all. I'm 54 years old and had my colonoscopy yesterday when I was diagnosed with bowel cancer. I had my CT scan today and waiting to find out if it has spread. My biggest fear is needing a stoma bad after surgery. Help, I'm panicking!

Which Puppies work for mild asthma/allergy - medium/standard dog breeds that are hypoallergenic
We had a standard Poodle before and this worked. We are looking in the UK for a list of cross breeds with a poodle that might work with my asthma. (eyes itchy and asthma causing in-frequent use of ventolin inhaler etc). My asthma is under control without dogs/cats/hay/dust at the moment but don't want

Newly diagnosed with asthma - need help!
I have been suffering with breathing difficulties for 2 years, following a severe chest infection. My breathing never got back to normal. I've tried to get help from the GP several times, but was told for the first year that 'it takes time to recover from chest infections' and in the second year that

My first post, how can I manage sleeplessness caused by asthma?
Hello, I'm 71 and have asthma, bronchiectasis, Marfan's syndrome and chronic pseudomonas infection. My immediate problem is that worsening breathlessness just before Christmas at night led to me having to sleep sat up on the sofa for a few nights. I can see from other posts that these are not uncommon

Asthma exacerbation after a cold
Hello! I’m looking for suggestions for self help to get my asthma back to its normal manageable state. It’s normally well controlled with Fostair 200 2x2 per day. Over a month ago I had a heavy cold, which led to a chest infection and exacerbated my asthma. I’ve had 1 course of antibiotics and 2 x5 day

Sugar, Fatty Foods, Bad Carbohydrates and Asthma...
Like many people I eat too much, too quickly and eat too much sugary junk. I certainly noticed a link between using my inhaler more after a food binge, especially with bad carbohydrates. Thankfully I'm at the stage in life where I'm starting to take control and be responsible for my health. (it's never

So, Friday I adopted a kitten.
I had allergy testing around five years ago, at the time of my
asthma
diagnosis, and found I was
allergic
to feathers but not cats or dogs. Why am I now?? It really sucks. I miss her so much. The woman at the shelter said she could hear me wheezing over the phone.

Are MRI's accurate in seeing endo in general? To operate or not?
Hiya, I'm asking this question because I've had very negative experiences of my adhesions showing. Following one mri which reported that I had one small area of endo, I had a lap to supposedly to remove only to find everything is stuck together, stage 4 endo with frozen pelvis. I'm now waiting in limbo
