hello everyone! i am so worried. I'm 44 and in a routine test done 20 days ago, i had positive ANA and positive GP210. I am so worried as from all the readings i have done, it seems PBC has a poor prognosis with the GP210 positive. I am italian, but working in Tunisia for the moment. I am repeating all

Rheumy appt and blood results
Hi everybody, I've posted a few times but quick recap - finally got an appt with a rheumy after only 25 years of ill health, although the letter says they will review my referral and cancel the appt if they don't think it is needed, which is a little concerning - I've waited a long time for this! I got

MYSTERY and MISERY
Hello, I'm new to this and just wanted to share my story to see if anyone suffers with any similar symptoms? :) I'm currently waiting to see the rheumatologist for my first appointment which is next week. All my childhood I've always been my mother's 'sickly' child. I would always feel achey, 'fluey

ANA POSITIVE
My ANA was positive. C-Reactive Protein and Sed rate are high. Hemoglobin is low. I've felt like I have the flu for 3 weeks straight now with no relief. I don't see a Rheumatologist until January and my Doctor is not wanting to give any meds. I'm so miserable I cannot function during the day. The exhaustion

New tests results
So you may remember I posted test results from 2014 the other day, saying I was due new blood tests. Well I've now got the results back and finally got some results!! It's a long list so any comments on any of it is much appreciated... I've summarised at the end for those short on time/energy! TSH 6.2

Slowly reducing pred..not good this week.
Hi, I'll try to keep this short. I'm new to the forum. Got my diagnosis of Temporal Arteritis about 20months ago now. Rheumatology have struggled to reduce my pred, I'd get down to 20mg then the symptoms would start again, headache, headsore and jaw ache. They tried me on Azathioprine but my liver enzymes

Foods/Supplements-Vitamins: Medicinal Fungi - Button mushroom - Agaricus bisporus
Surely I jest? The lowly white button mushroom [WBM] contains an aromatase inhibitor. As such, it may inhibit the conversion of testosterone to estradiol. WBMs are also a source of conjugated linoleic acid [CLA]. Surely, not a whole lot - but [1c] describes it as "an important component". & "WBM was

Good news not so great...and I'm really angry.
Hey.... So, if you didn't see me last post, I was excited to share with you all that the rehumy said that I didn't have lupus, (after a year of going back and forth) and that it was probably my APS mimicking the symptoms of lupus. Naturally, I told all my family and friends the good news, only to receive

Hi all I am just wondering if an ANA test sis a definite test for lupus. I have been having the odd aches and pains along with the odd headache, fatigue, weird fizzing sensation inside my body among other things and have had raised crp and esr levels for around 3 months now. Yesterday I had a ANA blood

Where to begin in Jan 16 I was diagnosed with a nodule that was benign. Bloods up then went down. In July I had a nasty fall down the stairs which took some time to recover from, somehow I don't think I've been the same since. My bloods are out I've been suffering with fatigue aching joints chills

leukotriene agonists and 5-lipoxygenase inhibitors
Hi Folks Need to tap into your direct experience of leukotriene agonists and / or 5-lipoxygenase inhibitors. Currently pattern is a need for 5 / 10 Day Oral Steroid Burst about every 4 to 5 Weeks. Thinking about asking my Consultant to give me one of the above if I need to have another Steroid Burst

Update Doctors
Hi all, have just been to my doctors and picked up my blood test results, that my new doctors wanted to do before going any further (originally the new doctor said she would arrange for me to have a MRI scan, but think this has been knocked on the head by her supervisor). At that point I had to make

Hi - New and Undiagnosed
Hi - I'm new here, have been reading a few of your posts and thought I should come out of lurking...It is a bit of a long rambly one i'm afraid because I don't know which symptoms might relate to a broader condition or whether it is just getting older/separate conditions (i'm 39). I also feel like I

Sedementation Rate
No diagnosis & no meds other than pred a few times in last 18 months. Also frequent Naproxyn. Labs have been all over the place. No Positive ANA but it has been borderline. Anyway Sed Rate has been consistently 65, other than 125 a couple of times in the last 18 months. Never drops below 65. Is this
