Can levothyroxine cause breast enlargement?
Is it the hypothyroidism or the medication causing my growing breasts? I feel so uncomfortable.

Radiation Proctitis - comments from those that have been diagnosed with chronic (>6 months post radiation).
20 months following the end of my salvage radiation, I have been experiencing blood spotting after bowel movements and a preliminary dx indicates Radiation Proctitis may be the cause. This is disheartening given radiation was 20 months ago and I had no problems during or immediately after. Being sent

CPR Courses
There was an interesting post recently about training in resuscitation techniques. Inspired by this I contacted The Red Cross. Here's their reply, unfortunately no CPR training near to me, but for anyone in London, Salford, Edinburgh, or Belfast there's an opportunity to acquire a skill that might

Dihexa peptide shows potential for PD and ALZ and (I believe) is currently available
hypothesis, demonstrating that Dihexa, given by abdominal injection or orally, completely restored lost motor function. Moreover, staining for tyrosine hydroxylase (TH), a marker for the dopamine neurons that were lost following chemical lesioning, returned to near normal after 34 days of treatment.

Hospice + private-equity = about what you'd expect
Massive fraud. Quotas for hospice marketers. (Yes, 70% of hospices are for-profit, and for them it's all about marketing.) Whistleblower lawsuits. Federal prosecutors going to work for the firms they prosecute. Patients not needing hospice signed up without their knowledge, depriving them of the curative

Two natural substances seem to help subclinical hypothyroidism
Make of this paper what you will. It claims that myo-inositol and selenium therapy can normalise TSH in subclinical hypothyroidism. I just mention it because it could possibly differentiate those with temporary SCH and those who are firmly on their way to overt hypothyroidism. Front. Endocrinol., 16

methotrexate hair loss
Hello All. Has anyone here found a solution to Methotrexate hair loss. I have been on it since 2012 and my fringe is now so scant and I have the equivalent of male pattern baldness. (I’m female!) Any ideas to thicken my hair would be welcome. Thanks in advance. Jayne

4th time lucky: an interesting appointment
This might not make a lot of sense to anyone who didn't see my last post about angular cheilitis, but if you are interested, have a look (photo attached). After three cancellations, I finally got to see my Oral medicine consultant. At first, I saw a junior that I'd never met before - and felt that
