What type of doctors do u see?
Hi, I was wondering what type of specialist do you all see? I have a wonderful pulmonary doctor that monitors my inr and warfarin. I really liked the hematologist, but I only seen him once. It looks like the doctor I see the most is the one I like the least and that is the rheumatologist. I really

Can someone help me with symptoms? Is is possible to be on Heparin and Warfarin and still experience awful symptoms? Help please.
I suffered a massive DVT in 2003 that almost killed me. Had another in 2009. Finally diagnosed with APS in 2010. Have been on Coumadin, but now realize I was experiencing symptoms all along that may be related to APS. I am wondering if others have had the problems I'm having. In the last week my INR

Anybody gone from warfarin back to fragmin?
I am wondering whether to ask if I can try going back to fragmin alone. I have been on warfarin for 6 years and right now it is driving me nuts. I think I am in peri menopause and my INR changes everyday. So I am always testing and adjusting my doses. And actually I really want to be able to eat foods

Do I have Hughes Syndrome? Details below.
In 2002 I had a femoral DVT (I had not been on a long haul flight). Warfarin was prescribed for 6 months. After this period test were carried out to determine the cause. I was told I have Thrombophilia (prothombin 20210) and have been put on warfarin for life.Thankfully since taking warfarin I no longer

Poem 4 - DBS - 1 procedure down and 2 to go
Poem 4 The day began before dawn but it wasn’t too bad, I want all to know. I can report - That’s one procedure down but still two more to go. By 9:00 AM I had a few extra holes in the top of my almost bald head. And by Noon, I was home comfy under the covers in my very own bed. The second

Bad tempers and sleet with an under active thryoid and stressed adrenals
Today, I have gone on to the next phase of treating my underactive thyroid, via a very well known and respected nutritonist/doctor. As I am sure if this calms down some of my other multi conditions might behave a bit better . Today I have a face like a bull dog chewing a wasp and have been slipping

Epidemiology
I noticed today that our number have now reached 64, which is a satisfying number, mathematically, geometrically, and in relation to genetics. There are also a lot more arcane uses of 64, but in human history it is a number that is useful and relevant. And very simple to use. It set me on a thought
