Prednisone and hair loss
has anyone found anything that will prevent the hair loss, as in, would taking Rogaine or some other hair product work to counter the effects of the prednisone. I have had PMR since June 2019 and on prednisone and my hair keeps falling out, it is so thin now. Thanks for any help

Thinning hair
I probably had PBC since about 2009, but, was formally diagnosed in 2016. I started noticing some hair loss around 2014-2015, when I had longer hair. Now, I have a very short cut and I even though I don't notice any actual shedding, I can clearly see thinning see-through areas, on the sides of my head

Buprenorphine (sp?)
This is a paper on the use of Buprenorphine in older people rather than Oxycontin ( as some of us are) it talks about addiction-- but I prefer to see it as dependency!😩😎 May be worth talking to your pain manager about it? https://www.medscape.com/viewarticle/923754 Cheers.

Nail psoriasis
Hello all. I have been diagnosed with nail psoriasis and wonder if this is due to hypothyroidism? Have googled but haven't found anything to suggest a link to thyroid disease. I do not have psoriasis of my skin as such.

Hypophosphatasia
Recently had a number of blood tests. One test which has been upper end of low for about 4 years is alkaline phosphatase. Normal range, 46-116 U/L. My results were 2016: 39; 2017: 29; 2018: 32; 2019: 40. I've never had any of the tooth or bone abnormalities generally associated with hypophosphatasia,

Apixoban
I am about to start taking apixaban instead of Warfarin. Has anyone taken CBD oil or turmeric with it to help with the pain of RA? A friend of mine takes apixaban and CBD oil and she thinks it is marvellous. When I read the side effects of CBD they were very scary! So it has put me off.

Side effects of Apixaban?
I used to take rivaroxaban 2mgs per day, but after a big op for hallus vegus and straightening claw toes I had a bleed behind my kneecap. Came off all anticoags until my knee/leg subsided; that took 3 months before it felt & looked normal again. Now I am just taking 5mgs of Apixaban daily. I notice that

In Aunty Bee's post I replied "No Christmas juper but OH is cultivating a Christmas Beard - obviouly not
