Transitioning from NDT to T3 (slowly) - anyone done this? Or combines NDT with t3?
Hello there, After many years unsuccessfully on Levo, then NDT, NDT+T4, I'm trying NDT and T3...and it's tricky. My timing might be incorrect, I take now 3 daily doses and I'm feeling overmedicated in the afternoon (tight chest, dizzy, weird energy, hunger, sweaty feet, blurry vision etc.). I take

Modified Citrus Pectin - reply from Dr Eliaz
Patients were not on
ADT
during the study. They had no
ADT
for a few months before the beginning of the study. I assume that if we excluded anyone who had
ADT
we would have gotten even better results. 80% of patients with BRPC have increased PSA velocity/shortening of PSADT over time.

Is ADT beneficial after castration resistance sets in?
If PSA is rising at the same doubling time (3 weeks) as it was without
ADT
(when I was Castration sensitive and did intermittent
ADT
breaks), then is it useful to keep taking
ADT
? If so, why?

Update on my daddy- 8 years stage four
Hello guys! I wanted to give a little update on my dad. He was diagnosed stage four prostate cancer in June 2015, with a PSA of 257 and a single lymph node involved. His prostate was so enlarged at the time that he had to have double nephrostomy bags. He started hormone therapy and chemo immediately

Latest test results
Hi, Slow Dragon kindly suggested I submit my latest test results , given that I continue with episodic fatigue. ( also heat/sweats). I’ve had a number of blood tests over the past 6 months all apparently normal but of course only TSH tested in respect of my diagnosis of hypothyroidism, prescribed currently

Duration of ADT
I started
ADT
and had radiation to the spot and the pelvic lymph nodes. The radiation oncologist told me that 4-6 months of
ADT
was adequate but Kwon prefers a year. They are leaving it to me. I would love some input!

In hospital take ndt
Hi. Just a question regarding hospital stays and taking unprescribed ndt. I am probably going to be in hospital soon and am wondering what the heck to do about my thyroid s. I ended up in A&E with chest pains and was put on a ward where they took my antibiotics off me and put them in a locked cupboard

Frequency of testing
Hello all,I'm sure this has been answered 100 times, but I'm having difficulty finding the information. My question is how quickly do TSH, T3, and T4 numbers react to a change of medication dose. 8 weeks? 12 weeks? Does TSH react more quickly than T3 and T4? I ask specifically because 6 weeks ago

So recurrent after radiation and 2 years
ADT
. PSA pretty close to 3 by now. Bone and CT scan done because my cheap insurance company denied the Pylarify until after the other 2. I don't mind the extra contrasts, barium or whatever hell else they gave me. I keep asking is it nuclear.

Does PSA settle after treatment?
But now the goal is to maintain a really low PSA ( undetectable or less than 1) How will I ever know if it will naturally stabilise if I keep on
ADT
? Thoughts? DD 😎.
