I was put in an induced coma on Christmas Day 2022 due to having double pneumonia, sepsis, strep b, flu and a plural infusion! I spend two weeks in an induced coma and followed by 3 weeks in hospital a total of 5 weeks. I am now suffering with ptsd which I am managing but the main thing I am struggling

Peritoneal dialysis and Neck pain at night during exchanges ……any help? Asking for my mother
Reaching out to this expert community to see if anyone has any experience and advice so I can help my mother. She has been on peritoneal dialysis for about 3-4years. Her exchanges happen at night on machine (not manually). Most recently she has been dealing with pretty significant neck pain. That happens

Scared I might have lung cancer
Home About Cancer Cancer Chat Post I have a cough most of my life, but just lately I have had a horrible, relentless tickly cough, to the point I gag, and pee myself! I went to AnE in February for a cough that was really hurting my ribs.... They saw me and sent me to ambulatory care. They did test

Worried about consistent blood in urine
I’m wondering if anyone else has consistent blood in urine only picked up by a urine test? For the last few months I seem to get symptoms of a urine infection regularly, however when my urine is tested all that comes back is traces of blood? Feeling so anxious about it.

prednisone, methotrexate, forteo
I am 6 years into pmr. This is my third try on methotrexate. Gone from 18 mg to 15&1/2mg. In 4 months. Might be having trouble at 15& 1/2 time will tell. (That is where I keep getting stuck) Just went thru terrible 5 month ordeal with new fractures in spine. I finally decided to face my fear and go

Itchy Anus
so I’ve had an itchy anus for about a month now. It’s not haemarroids and it’s not thread worms. It’s an itch on the skin around it I’ve used Clotrimazole and that hasn’t helped. What is happening??

does anyone have interstitial cystitis?
I have been experiencing pain when peeing for coming up to a year now. I have got my urine tested probably over 8 times over the past year. Every time it comes back clear, or they tell me to take an antibiotic and then send my urine off to the lab but then it comes back normal. I feel a ripping, burning

ICU to home
Dad was admitted to a&e due to diabetes but turned out he had pneumonia and out of the blue his best chance of survival would be to transfer him to icu & put him in an induced coma. He thankfully came back to us after3 weeks he was talking & understood after a brief spell of delirium. He was then transferred

Reaching out.
Hello. This may be familiar to others, I commiserate, and appreciate any tips/insights. I am struggling with moderate/severe COPD with asthma overlap, which can be awkward to treat, as reacting to tree pollen. Using Trelegy at present, as experience reduction in horrible wet wheeze. Have rescue packs

Bisoprolol alternative to avoid cold extremities
Afternoon all, Despite 2 ablations my AFib episodes returned a year ago. Bisoprolol and flecainide seem to control it well, but I really struggled this winter with cold extremities. Despite plenty of layers, woollen socks, thick long skiing gloves I still have very cold fingers and toes. I tried

GCA and respiratory issues?
Hi everyone. I updated my profile to include my most recent flare/infection, but wanted to briefly share that info. with others who may experience respiratory issues with GCA. I had another bad "flare" that began on Feb. 4th at the end of a two week cruise. Again started with a sore throat, then respiratory
