Hi, I am new to this site. I am a 51 year old woman who has been married for 27 years. I am an at-home mom as well. It was recently suggested to me by my current therapist that I have ADHD, even though I have felt that I have ADHD for years based on the research I was doing for my daughter, but my therapists

Adderall v Ritalin
What are the thoughts on Addereall v. Ritalin. Looking for the most effective, but is it cost effective? What do these cost and do they work the same?

Anxiety
My 9 year old son has been diagnosed and on medication since he was 4 years old. He is now taking Adderall 10mg. We have noticed an increase in his anxiety. His doctor doesn't feel it is a side effect of the medication. Had anyone experienced this on this medication? What types of interventions for anxiety

New ADHD mom
Hi all. My son, who is now almost 12, was diagnosed with ADHD at age 5. We were first time parents, and took the advice of the pediatrician to trial meds. They did terrible things for our kiddo at that age, and since we have looked to behavior modification. It worked well for years, until now. Maybe

Adderall ?
My doctor prescribed me 20mg of adderall to help in school, but how do I know if it's actually working or if my dose is too high? I take it 30-45mins before my classes start; like my doctor told me to, but once I'm sitting in my desk I copy the notes, get out my sticky notes and pens. bc I learn better

Violent, threatening outbursts
My 7 year old has severe ADHD, and generally my husband and I are able to handle his outbursts, tantrums and calm him down. He is becoming increasingly unreasonable, violent and threatening. After moving he and his 10 year old brother inot their own rooms this weekend, he demanded we put a lock on his

Adderall
I am 19. I was diagnosed with ADHD when I was in elementary school. I haven't taken Adderall in over 12 years. Due to my job being a trainer in fast food, I am multi-tasking doing 5 things at once (Taking order, money, handing out food, callouts, listening to two separate people at once, etc.) Well,

New to ADHD and new to this Forum
At 61 years of age, I took a long look at some of my personality characteristics and decided to take a more serious look at the possibility, long joked about, that I may in fact have ADHD. I did a bit of digging for reference material and found "Taking Charge of Adult ADHD" by Russell Barkley, PhD

Questions about my Meds?
So I finally went and got diagnosed with depression and anxiety/social phobia two days ago, and diagnosed with ADD as well, this is my first time taking any medication. I was given Zoloft and Adderall. Yesterday was the first whole day I was taking them and I'm starting out on a low dose of Adderall.

US vs UK
My daughter was diagnosed when we were living in the USA but didn't go on medication until she failed her first year of university. She went to visit her father in the USA and went on Adderall, which suited her fine. However, there came a time when it was not practical to go back to the USA and she transitioned

Depressed
Hi my doctor has me on 225mg effector, 150 XL Wellbutrin, and Adderall 30 mg 1 tab twice a day. Well I'm still suffering from depression and it is really bad. I wouldn't do anything to myself but I want to die. I can't describe this depression, I feel hopeless and helpless. Overwhelmed so many emotions

Just finding out about Depersonalization
So, I've had anxiety for as long as I can remember. Nothing to the extreme but I definitely have my moments. My doctor actually prescribed me Adderall to help me focus on whats at hand rather than racking my brain about everything else going on in life. I haven't been on it long & prefer not to be on

Leaky gas is driving me crazy
I used to have leaky gas when I took antibiotics a long time ago and it went away. But now it's back and I hate it.
