My healing Experience!!
Hello everyone. I would like to share my experience of feeling better so far with the help of my lovely nutritionist. I have suffered from CFS for 3 years diagnosed and probably 5 with no diagnosis. Thankfully I have managed to hold down a full time nursing job, although I wonder how when I feel it

Question regarding thyroid testing
Like many of you with APS I am low in vitamin D3 and Vitamin B-12 as well as homocysteine. I am also suspicious of thyroid deficiency and am going to ask my new hemotologist if he will test me extensively. I will ask him to test TSH, FT4, FT3, TT4, Thyroid Peroxidase Antibodies,Thyroglobulin Antibodies

I know this forum is about anemia but I have a question about polycythemia?
Okay so back in April my red blood cell counts were high 5.31(3.70-5.10). Hemoglobin 15.6, hematocrit 46.9. Doctor initially was testing for vitamin D3 deficiency. Had no idea about the red blood cell count he said everything was fine except the D3 deficiency. Now recently I just had a cardiac ablation

Vitamin D replacement: options please?
Hi all I was diagnosed as vitamin D deficient last year, now corrected thankfully. My Doctor prescribes me 1000IU/day Colecalcierol as maintenance. I feel fine, but worry as these capsules look like horse tranquillisers compared to the Vitamin D tablets you can buy cheaply in supermarkets/high street

Vitamin D3 & K2 recommendations
I need to add vitamin K2 to my ever expanding supplement regime & wondered if anyone can recommend the most cost effective way to take vit d & K2? Is there a combo? I have just finished a bottle of Swanson D3 soft gels which I think were great but I feel like I take so many supplements already that

DXA scan
Having had PMR for 4.5 years and having taken Pred in lowering doses, (together with Alendronic Acid once per week and ADCAL twice a day since that time), I spoke to my Rheumy about having a DXA scan, as I had never had one. He organised the scan at my local hospital last week. The scan was very

VitD deficiency and plantar fasciitis
Just diagnosed with severe vitD deficiency, reading everything I can. Developed plantar fasciitis 3 weeks ago and found this in a good article, too late for my fingers, some are well deformed, but hope to rid myself of the heel and calf pain: Vitamin D is routinely provided in tablet, capsule or oil
