2nd night home
My partner is 45 and was told 3 weeks ago that he was suffering from panic attacks after we rushed him to A&E , in the following week the pains got worse so we asked the G.P for a second opinion, the G.P prescribed beta blockers and arranged a phone appointment for next week with a cardiologist, unfortunately

Stomach Problems: Heart medication or late onset IBS?
Hi, Has anybody suffered from stomach cramps, gurgling, bloating and wind as a result of any of the following medicines? Ticagrelor 90mg, Atorvastatin 80mg, Lansoprazole 30mg or dispersible aspirin. I am 7 months into taking medication after my stent and everything was fine until about 3 weeks ago. Now

Dear all, I thought my story might be of interest to some. 3 yrs ago I collapsed in the gym with some sort of arrhythmia which spontaneously recovered after half an hour. During that episode I never had any chest pain. I was subsequently investigated and by exercise echocardiogram was found to have exercise

LVDD (Left Ventricle Diastolic Dysfunction) - Diuretic/ARB
I am from India aged 51 yrs. I got my CABG done for single artery (LAD) 6 months back. Post surgery I developed breathlessness and could not walk out for two months. Though i consulted many doctors only one doctor gave me diuretic Torasemide 5mg and that helped me to walk as my breathlessness improved

Chest pain
First time posting on here. Can anyone tell me how long your chest hurts after CABG surgery? Had my op two weeks ago and progressing well with exercise, 2000 steps today, impatient to get back to normal but can’t get my lungs filled enough to improve my breathing.

Blood Test
So have been experiencing fatigue, dizziness and my restless legs have become worse. All since starting new meds since my cardiac stent was put into my LAD in Nov 2021. After the stent, was put on daily aspirin, an anti-platelet drug Prasugrel, Atorvastatin, Propranolol, Omeprazole. Was already on Thyroxine

Tested low oxalate diet - No effect on my RLS - Tired of hearing about dietary "cause" of RLS
After hearing a lot of good comments for low oxalate diet, I decided to give it a try. I figured it was worth trying since I'm normally a vegetarian and I eat some of the worst offenders of the low oxalate diet in great quantities (a lot of almonds & peanuts as well as cocoa in my morning smoothie).

Minor Aortic calcification and 1st Degree Heart Block
Advised by cardiologist no need to flag these on travel insurance.? Ummm not sure that's wise, no related symptoms or medication. He says this doesn't constitute aortic stenosis and heart block is benign. Have declared my CVD and stent and all medications. Don't want to over state my conditions but

Still tired?
I take 150 mg of Pregabalin for PLMD and with carefully watching food/drink triggers my PLMD is pretty much taken care of (going on 3 years). I thought the reason I still suffered from daytime sedation was the side effect of the Pregabalin (even though the 1/2 life isn't that long and I take it at 7pm

Hi there, I have a week holiday booked for Spain, leaving U.K. next Saturday 11/6-18/6. Looking at quotes for travel insurance. I had an angiogram and one stent fitted November 2021. Since told I have a moderately leaky aortic valve. Just need an annual echo to check if it progresses (next Echo due March

Bypass next week
Hi, I am going in for a CABG (sternotomy) in 9 days time, I had a double bypass via a midcab 5 years ago which didnt fully work so here we go again. On my previous op I was discharged with large dressings which I wore for a few weeks, but reading the paperwork I have been given it says I will be discharged

I’m sorry I’m so unsure of what my figures should be - little background info - approx 25 years ago had thyroid removed due to multinodular goiters - 6years ago had Takotsubo cardiomyopathy (discharged with clear arteries) which my doctor indicated could be due to too much thyroxine so reduced me from

Hello:) I just had my third kidney transplant in December. I had multiple pre transplant day long meetings to decide the best option for me having a third transplant and it was decided my fiance would donate and we would do paired exchange as a live donor and planned transplant would be for the best

Ropinirole Reduction
Hello, some advise needed please. I have been trying to reduce my Ropinirole dose from 2mg to 1.5 mg for the past 3 weeks. For the first few nights all was well but this didn’t last long as the RLS kicked in again. I used to use Ropinirole before I augmented, then went to Pramipexole and I seem to
