Angiogram No7 in three years
Just been notified my 7th angiogram will take place on 7th July (pre med 1st July), last two were using cutting balloons to open a troublesome LAD where bridging and an under expanded stent are getting restenosis, last procedure was only in November and have had all meds increased to ease angina. Update
Just thought I’d give a little update! So I’d had a stent fitted to relieve a 90% blockage in my LAD artery in November 2021. I was therefore started on Prasugrel (antiplatelet med) in addition to the 75mg daily aspirin I was already taking. They then found I have a moderately leaky aortic valve. Being

Sjögren’s syndrome
I am suffering with bad Sjogren’s syndrome because of lupus which means I have dry eyes, dry nostrils, dry mouth, dry skin. Basically dry mucosa anywhere in my body. Does any one have this experience and what have you used to get rid of it. I have used preservative free eye drops as advised by the doctor

Newbie and nervous
Afternoon from sunny Wales :) My husband had a heart attack 7 weeks ago, just unlucky they said, as hes normally fit, no diabetes, no family history. But he had a stent fitted. We've had another echo last week, and his ejection fraction had gone from 32.5% just after the attack, to 40%. He had a call

Happy anniversary
Well just thought I’d drop by and say happy 2nd anniversary to me. STEMI with sudden cardiac arrest x2 and luckily only 1 stent, called Bruce, fitted on 27 June 2020. Since my blip I’ve started hiking, completed the great Birmingham 10k, travelled to places I’ve always wanted to go, and generally living

Hip Replacement OP
I've been blessed and offered a cancellation for the hip op. Very last moment, but grabbed it as I've been reduced to a cripple. Had it last Saturday and I'm back home now learning how to walk again and get my knickers on without bending! Just to say the anaesthetist was great. Gave me methadoxatone

Angiogram recovery
Hi I am going to have my second angiogram. If I have a stent how long will it take to recover from? I am really nervous.

Weaning off ropinirol
Hi! I have been told before but can’t remember how to wean myself off ropinirol, I’m currently down to 0.50mg at night but if I go lower than that I don’t sleep at all! Which isn’t helpful when I work full time, I’m in the uk so my doc won’t prescribe opioids, I’m already taking Gabapentin and that’s

Am I entitled to IVF on the NHS
Hi all, after years of tests with my gynaecologist he has finally referred me to an IVF clinic and we had our first appointment today. Lump on my arm after angioplasty and stent insertion
Hi, I had a HA a year ago and underwent angioplasty where they put 4 stents in. After the op as they were relaxing the clamp on my wrist, I had a large loss of blood under the skin, they put pressure on the bulging area and all was fine. A few weeks later I spotted a small lump at the site of the blood

ADT options for BCR oligometastesis
Recent Auxmin and PSMA scans show that my husband has BCR oligometastesis (MRI shows nothing). It seems there are two different treatment options/opinions: 1. Lupron OR Eligard OR Firmagon OR Orgovyx for a few months and then radiation, then continue hormone therapy for 1-1.5 years 2. Lupron OR Eligard

THC O- a 1 person mini experiment
I got my THC O in the mail last Monday and have taken it all week. Here are my personal conclusions. Keep in mind this is just my experience. It may differ for others. DOES IT WORK: Yes. It seems to have the same efficacy, mg to mg, as normal THC. WOULD I RECOMMEND IT: No. Not if you have other options

Sleep Tracker Recommendations?
Hi all, I'm 53 and have had severe refractory RLS and PLMD for over 30 years now. As you can imagine, or probably know yourself, lack of sleep has been a nightmare for a long time. Low blood pressure
Hi all, 1 year on from my stent and all going well, however for the past week, I've been getting dizzy spells. I went to my gp who diagnosed low BP and told me to keep hydrated and rest, which I have done but still getting the dizzyness. It feels like a very mild electric shock in my head sometimes

A couple of personal anniversarys one biggish and one huge.
Twelve months ago I was moved from Shrewsbury cardiac ward to Wolverhampton so that I could be given a angiogram, so I smoked my last cigarette exactly 365 days ago to the minute, I stubbed it out and got into the ambulance at 09.00, and I was not allowed outside of new cross for another eight days.

Tramadol + Gabapentin
I have been on 100mg Tramadol and 1200mg Gabapentin for about 8 years now (after all the DA’s and augmentation). This last year getting up once or twice a night has turned into 3+ times and some very bad evenings and I believe I have reached tolerance in Tramadol. I won’t increase above 100mg as I fear
