levothyroxine 25mcg in brown medicine bottles
Hi All we have on our notes 3 of us from 1 family, no Teva to be given, but recently have been receiving our 25mcg levo in the brown dispensing bottles which we have never had before. I’m hoping the chemist isn’t popping out Teva to prevent us knowing what brand they are. Has anyone else had theirs

Vencamil (branded) vs. Aristo levothyroxine (generic)
Aristo in the UK have decided that supplying both versions of their product is unsupportable. This has caused confusion in distribution and prescribing and dispensing. (Despite the UK having dealt with Eltroxin and Mercury Pharma levothyroxine for many years!) Hence, they are stopping the generic

Levothiyroxine brand choice
Hi all,What is your preferred levo brand? I've been taking Wockhardt and I seem to get on with it the best but this one is a difficult one to get by any of the pharmacy. I have to battle with the each time to reorder it for this brand. Last time I agreed to Accord was in June when they had it ready a

Gallstones
Hello again 👋 Well I didn't expect this! I'm just out of A&E after a gallstone attack. Excruciating, until the morphine kicked in. I've been given strong painkillers and antibiotics. I'm a bit miffed, as I've been following a Low Fodmap, anti- inflammatory, pescatarian diet for as long as I can remember

MMH latest bloods
Just wondered what members thought of this, on 200mcg Accord Levo. TSH 0.01 range 0.27 to 4.2 FT4 21.2 range 12-22 FT3 5.2 range 3.6-6.8. Does this show poor conversion? I supplement Vitamin D, B12, B complex and folate. I know if my NHS GP sees this he'll reduce dose based on TSH result and I've

7 weeks Levothyroxine 100mcg Blood taken 9am, last dose 4am previous morning (is 29 hours ago too long)? FT3 is still low in the range and TSH now below range. I do feel heaps better but still not quite there..

Will being on optimal Levo dose for weight make a big difference in mood etc?
hi all. I was prescribed 100mg (increase of 25mg) after insisting the doctor speak to an endo, who then advised I should be on around 150mcg for my weight. Will a change from 100 to 150 really make that much of a difference? Also, I feel like I’m always bloated and gaining a little weight. I tried

please can someone advise?
I’ve posted here a few times of late, been feeling rough and exhausted since switching from Levo to Erfa 5 weeks ago. I’ve emailed the private doctor to get some advice as to whether the dose is correct she put me on. She’s said my question re doseage isn’t easy to answer and also she charges £20 for

AFIB and Levothyroxine (thyroid) dose.
Just a question for those of you that are hypothyroid and AFIB: Is your dose of thyroid medication less because you have AFIB, currently or in the past? Appreciate your input! Thanks!

When can I expect my resting heart rate to increase on Levo?
I’m on 87.5mcg Levo now but my resting heart rate is still late 40s and I’m not an athlete by any stretch of the imagination. Will it go up when I’m properly medicated? Just curious really as I’ve been expecting it to gradually go up but it hasn’t moved. Thank you.

Airedalelady
I am about to start a course of hydrolyzed marine collagen to help my loss of hair. It is by British Supplements, and the ingredients just list Pangasius Fish. Is this okay to take with Levothyroxine? Someone has told me this would probably contain Iodine, which would not work with thyroid meds. Could

Looking for thoughts on my latest test results
I would appreciate thoughts on my latest test results ....... TSH .062 (.45 - 4.5 ) FT4 1.29 (.82 _ 1.77) Ft3 2.6 (2 _ 4.4) Cortisol 14.9 *6.2 _ 19.4) I have been on 75 mcgs Levo and 12.5 mcgs of T3 for the last 2 months. Do you think that I need to tweak my doses of T4 and T3?

Taking T3 privately
Hi there, After an interesting thread today highlighting I may need to add T3, I was wondering what sort of dose most people start with and what it costs. Do you take it at the same time as Levothyroxine? And can you get a synthetic form? TIA Ellie

Wockhardt supply issue?
Is anyone aware of a supply issue in UK of Wockhardt Levothyroxine? I was unable to fulfil my usual prescription in England last week, and have faced the same problem attempting to get it instead in Wales this week, with only Teva or Accord offered. A coincidence perhaps with an unlucky choice of pharmacies

T3 only
Hi all, I was just curious, those on T3 only, how did you go about switching to T3 only, what dose do you take and do you feel much better than on levo? This is the only thing I haven't tried other than NDT. Just thinking about it. Thank you.

Nails!
My nails are really deteriorating, soft, bendy, peeling. They’ve been poor for ages but this is much worse. Nothing topical is helping. I’m on 75 mcgs levothyroxine and my TSH levels are good - and on 0.01 % estriol cream for dryness. Could it be that which is making the difference, although I was
