Week 1, Run 1. Good to be back
My first run today after months of not for reasons including injury, procrastination, laziness and excuses! Feel I wasted all that fitness I gained by graduating the programme. Lessons learned? I shall not add in runs on rest days and I shall not obsess about improving speed/distance. I’m slow - it’s

3 year old toilet refusal following constipation
She uses a toilet in playschool and gets through the three hours without
accidents
. She has had constipation and recurrent UTIs because of this so I feel she is afraid of feeling pain.

Saying Hi and question about IBS changing after childbirth
Hi, I have recently joined.I am 38 and was diagnosed with IBS D when I was 19. Initially I was really ill but then I managed to control it by limiting eating fried/ spicy food and using loperamide. However, after I gave birth to my son in 2018 it suddenly became worse and stopped responding to loperamide

Exenatide : any non diabetic users? Update from those using for diabetes with PD?
I was just prescribed Exenatide by my neurologist. He has faith in the Exenatide trial and has prescribed it to other patients as well. I’m slim with low blood sugar. Can those who are not diabetic but taking Exenatide please share their experience and knowledge? And any info from those taking it

Will it ever happen?
Sorry for the below but I'm at my whits end. I've been super emotional for 2 days and I have missed my husband who's on a boys motorbike holiday. Nobody understands what it's like to have fertility issues and everywhere there's baby announcements. I'm losing hope. We are waiting for retrograde ejaculation

Urgent explosive diarrhoea
Hi to all sorry to post this but I was wondering if anyone else suffers with this. It’s been so debilitating all week. It’s a constant thing that comes and goes but of late it seems to be happening more often 😩. It starts not long after eating with the urgent pains and literally if I’m not a minute

High respiratory efforts in COVID-19 patients could result in self-inflicted lung injury
The impact of high breathing efforts on the lungs of patients suffering with acute respiratory failure due to COVID-19 has been investigated by researchers at the University of Warwick, who assessed the likelihood of resulting lung injury. Although mechanical ventilation is a life-saving intervention

Don’t know what to expect
I was diagnosed with PSP and CBD in December 2020 . I haven’t had much support from the medical profession, and don’t know what to expect regarding end of life care. I started to have symptoms about 4-5 years ago and my condition is quite bad now, with sight problems, extreme tiredness, and frequent

Embryo batch freezing (antagonist protocol)
Hey lovelies, I just finished a 3-cycle back-to-back embryo batch freezing and wanted to share my journey with you, with the hope that this would be useful for others going through it right now or thinking of in the future.
Background:
I’m 32 and have low antral follicle counts (10) and AMH (11

Cardio exercise reducing AF
Dr Phil Hammond described association like this: "99% of people in car
accidents
were wearing shoes, therefore shoes cause car
accidents
" However, there's a possibility for a study; can regular cardio execise reduce the severity of AF?

Hello. I am new here and hope to get some advice and support. My 3.5 year old son does a poo 4 to 7 times a day. Sometimes the poo is hard and round and other times it's soft and seems normal. I tried toilet training him when he was 3 and I couldnt carry on as he got constipation passing hard stool.

8 year old son anal skin tags and fear of pooing
Please can someone help? For two years now my son's fear of pooing has gotten worse. He was constipated when younger and passed such massive poos that they caused two anal skin tags. He now refuses to try for a poo due to fear, stating it hurts him. He only goes every 4ish days when he absolutely can

Ibs tretment
IBS gradually increased in frequency and severity so had to see what I could do. Thanks to the posts here I already feel much better. Used Buscopan which eased the stomach cramps quickly. Now taking probiotics (1 per day) and peppermint oil (2 per day) . Early days but definitely feeling better. Thanks
