&*^% Ovarian Cancer
I genuinely thought I could not possible hate ovarian cancer any more than when I lost my mom just a month ago. Turns out I can because my maternal great aunt just got diagnosed. My mom had no genetic mutations and yet my family has to endure this f*&^*(* disease again. I wish I could just get a hysterectomy

Seeing the specialist
So I'm going to finally see the specialist tomorrow and make the decision of whether I want to have a hysterectomy. I was diagnosed before I was 20. Had a laparoscopy done initially and was ok for a while. I managed to have my son after 3 years of trying with alot of complications. It came back but more

ovarian cancer stage 1c3
Hello, I recently dignossed with stage 1c3 ovarian cancer, doctor said it's not spread much, what they found out that, the cancer tumor was in left ovary, and some cancer cell found in peritoneal fluid. I had done with my first chemo with carboplatin and taxol. My CA125 was 353 prior to hysterectomy

LVA Surgery with Dr. Wei Chen
I have had two LVA (Lymphedema) surgeries with Dr. Wei Chen at the University of Iowa the past year (one 12/21 and one 6/13). He has helped me immensely. The work he has done on me and his findings with others similar to me will be included in a medical journal soon. I am early stages and even diagnostic

Just considering
Hi everyone, my first post! I have read many though over the past few weeks since I joined the group. I have Dystonia, SCLE, Primary Sjogrens and have been through Breast cancer 2009, total hysterectomy 2013. I have recently thought about mobility aids. I have balance issues along with the pain and fatigue

Endometriosis Nerve Pain / aching in glutes / hips / pelvis - will a hysterectomy help?
Hello! I've just had my 4th lap for stage 3, deep infiltrating endo. I wanted my surgeon to get to the root of my nerve issues - constant pain in lower pelvis, wrapping around hips and into the glutes, sometimes down the thighs. However I am no further on with an explanation for this pain and getting

Endometriosis post partial hysterectomy
I had a partial hysterectomy 8 years ago. Everything was good until 6 months ago. Endometriosis symptoms returned. Went to the gynaecologist today told me it can’t be that as it can’t return this late. My hormone level is good this has been checked I believe it has returned he almost laughed at me!!

Surgery and anesthesia with FND?
Have any of you undergone surgery with FND? I need to have a hysterectomy that would put me under for at least two hours and I’m scared how my brain is gonna react. Will I wake up worse? Please share your experiences with your types of surgery and anesthesia used and how it affected your FND symptoms
