When they removed the catheter Friday morning I was able to pee, but by Friday tea time I was in such pain and bloated. Not able to pee anymore. So they have send me home with a catheter and I

Suffering with endometerosis
Hi, I have suffered for the last 13 years after having 2 endometriosis operations and I have ended up having a full hysterectomy key hole which 6 weeks into recovery I feel the best in years and the HRT gel is working fantastically, I am 49 so the option was easy for me but I wish I had had the operation

New beginnings
Hello everyone been fairly busy having appointments at hospital. So at last I have a date for my hysterectomy on the 21st November. Sticking to my diet as I started my weight lose journey at 119.07 which I think was around 265lb. I am now down to 95.3 which is around 209.6lb so onwards with my life changes

Pain management options while waiting to be seen...
Hi I have had adenomyosis confirmed and Fibroids (one of which is 7cm) summer 2019. I’m mid 40s, two children (adopted). Please bear with me, I waffle 😁 I am in constant pain most days. Gradually getting worse since Jan 2019. Periods have been horrific for many a decade from a pain point of view and

Increased Ca125 and ascities
Hello all. I'm still scared my Ca125 has risen and after a recent short hospital stay due to salmonella, diarrhoea and vomiting, a scan showed the ascities has returned. After a total hysterectomy and debulking surgery last year, I didn't think ascities could come back. This means the tumours must have

Actually worse than we anticipated, went from baby shower excitement to now being told likely il need hysterectomy, arterial balloons to prevent “catastrophic bleeding” as the consultant said wish she had watered it down and possibly

Nine Months after a Full Hysterectomy with BSO - August -to date non-stop Headache
My healing was a journey of it's on. Once I hit the sixth month I saw enormous change in my healing. Then immediately the headaches and dizziness and vertigo took over. From Ob-gyn to Physician to Neurologist to ENT to... From medication to medication to..... It's weighing me down. Slowing my exercising

Why can’t I be given steroids for suspected autoimmune disease such as lupus, Sjögrens or scleroderma when they work
Hi am seeing my rheumatologist next month in a desperate last ditch attempt to get answers from him. My ENA is always positive and I have tried steroids from my GP in the past for chest infections and have felt so well within days yet am not being given them at all by my rheumatologist long term for

Operation Done for Now 😃
Hi All Thanks for all your well wishes had my operation; feeling sore but out on the other side and on the road to recovery. Managed to separate my organs and bowel slightly but wasn’t to invasive in completely separating my bowel otherwise I would have had to have had a permanent bag which wouldn’t

I’m new here. Pain relief tips for severe endo & chocolate cyst please?
Hi all I’m new here & really sad & frustrated to read how so many women are suffering unnecessarily with misdiagnosis & long waits for treatments. The pain I have experienced is just horrendous & I feel for everyone who suffers such chronic pain I’ll try & summarise my story. I’m 47 , have 2 children

Surgical menopause
Hi all I had total hysterectomy and Boston in April 2017 and was put on estradoil 2mg from day 2 of surgery. I have not had any of the usual side effects but over the last year had lack of concentration, fizzy head, visual disturbances that then turn into headaches, heavy head, tension in shoulders,

Endo and me
I was diagnosed with endo at 21 after suffering from the age of 14 with the most horrendous periods. Not understanding what a 'normal period' was you assume all is just that "normal". After numerous visits to the doctors I finally got a referral to gynaecology which In some way was a relief and in another

Scared
Hello special people. I'm scared. My OC returned despite being on maintenance Avastin after major debulking surgery and total hysterectomy. It's in my stomach lymph nodes, on my bowel, liver, peritoneum and omental area. I was told I might have another five years if the carbo and Caelyx work enough,

Bravest girl I know
Yesterday my fiancé said that I was the bravest girl I know. This is after a conversation with my mum about having a hysterectomy. I still feel very emotional about his comment and very lucky and grateful to have someone so supportive and wonderful in my life. X

Help!! Have I made the right decision??
So here’s the background! I had a hysterectomy in April where they found a cyst and endometriosis they scraped it away and left my ovaries. Everything was fine for 3 weeks then I started getting pain in my left lower side and back then every few weeks it’s in both sides and across my stomach like severe
