Hysterectomy, HRT and possible flare up
HI Ladies. So, I was diagnosed with stage 4 endometriosis when I was about 30 years old (Im now 45). I've had 2 laproscopys, 1 laperotomy and finally a total hysterectomy when I was 40. My ovaries were completely stuck to everything else around them, major pain, also had endo on my bowel, pretty much

Finally my full hysterectomy
After a two year wait I have finally been given a date for my full hysterectomy. It will be keyhole. I have been given two weeks to prepare for it. Any hints and tips on recovery and any suggestions on anything I need to get in beforehand to help with comfort whilst I recover. Many thanks.

l am 77 years of age and began my gynae journey in November 2021. My first consultant did not really take me seriously when l told him at 75 l was having heavy post menopause bleeds, more like a haemorrhage than a normal period bleed, along with persistent constipation, which l now know can be a pointer

Oestrogen only HRT
Hello. Does anyone have any experience of taking oestrogen only HRT after a partial hysterectomy? I've been recommended this,by a BSGE consultant, but didn't think that oestrogen only was a good option and now I'm really confused. I have had 4 excision surgeries for stage 4 endo and still have, now

Lap surgery then hysterectomy surgery wait time
I am having a lap next week to in the words of my surgeon 'have a look around' and then followed up with a hysterectomy including removing womb, cervix, ovaries, fallopian, one 14cm mass and one 18.5cm mass plus two fibroids. I have been waiting two years. Does anyone know how long they normally wait

Dear all, I have had painful periods since the age of 12 and I am now 53 years old and they are getting worse. The pain each month is unbearable and I have to take a combination of paracetamol and ibuprofen daily to take the edge off the pain. I had a long period of reduced pain because I went

Looking for others who have had a hysterectomy with ovaries removed in their 30s - to get your experiences
Hi all, I'm looking for personal experiences of those who had a hysterectomy with ovaries removed in their 30s. Little about me and why I'm asking. I have been diagnosed with adenomyosis and endometriosis. Had a laparoscopy with removal of some endometriosis in May 22, also had the marina coil fitted

Experiences with Hysterectomies?
I waited 8 months for my hysterectomy consult! They are hoping to have the surgery booked for end of next month. I am hoping to find out all kinds of stories and experiences with them, to be prepared for my “eviction” day lol. Thanks everyone!

post menopausal depression and anxiety
hi I am post menopausal and have been left with many new health conditions. I had a total hysterectomy which cured my early stage cancer - everything was removed including my ovaries. Has anyone else been left feeling deflated in post menopause? I have ups and downs with mood swings and my anxiety

Considerations before a hysterectomy
My consultant who performed my laproscophy said I could have a hysterectomy 1 year after my c section. (Private) I had a tube removed and endometriosis removed in my last lap. I thought there would be other treatments to explore first?! I'm 35. Finished my struggle to get my kids. Am in constant

ovarian surgery
Hi everyone Was just recommended to see a GYN/Oncologist to discuss having my ovaries removed.. I have the BRIP1 gene mutation. So was there for 2 hours .. very thorough but after giving my whole family history of cancer on both sides (mom n Dad) it went from ovarian surgery to possible hysterectomy
