Hope everyone coping in these strange Covid times, and that despite this and having this horrible disease, we have all had some time of pleasure over festive period.
I have just started weekly Taxol, and getting differing opinions about hair loss. Know it is almost inevitable on 3 weekly regime, but would be grateful for what folk have experienced on weekly?
Best wishes,

I found that the hair loss was more dragged out on the weekly Taxol, but by the end of the 6 cycles my hair was almost completely gone. It was nice not having to shave my legs. Being practically bald with barely any eyebrows left - not so much!
I had carbo/taxol once a week for 3 months. Thinned at first, then clumps so had my husband shave head. I lost every hair on my body. My husband bought me a wig, but I couldn't stand it. I had a cotton cap I wore most of the time. After chemo, grew in rather fast. Was taking biotin, but as good as it was for my hair & nails, I was getting chin hairs. It is a side effect of chemo that cannot be avoided when you have an aggressive Cancer. Sad but true. Best Wishes.
Thank you for your reply! Just wanting to be prepared and know what to expect, so value hearing about what others have gone through. All the best, Sheila xx
Thanks for getting back to me, as keen to be ready for what likely to happen. Yes - can see not having to shave legs would be one advantage! All the best, Sheila xx
I'm about 7 weeks into a 3 weeks on 1 week off regimen, and my hair is still falling out a lot but I'm not bald yet. Scalp has been hurting a lot, too. Am debating whether to just shave it. Oncologist is sure it will all be gone soon; her prediction was that it would have already been all gone by now.
