I'm reading The Miracle Equation by cancer thrive Hal Elrod. It is a game-changer for me.

Still hundreds of tests away from an answer to Cancer as a whole. Still, it is encouraging that they are beginning to understand the pathway.

Cheers, June S.

Fascinating and so encouraging. Big find.

So many women are told to get to five years and all will be fine. Um, not really. My doctor said...why they tell people that I do not understand!

i was reading something in Insider's guide to MBC today, and there were some statistics. It suggested ithat for each number of years you survived the prospect of another five year increased. But we're all different. I keep hoping that as I had 26 years before it came back that it's something a bit slower and will give me a bit longer. But live for the day, no regrets!

Thanks for posting! I have a son 31 yrs old who has Cystic Fibrosis, he is on the new drug that corrects the cellular membrane errors about 70%. Its like his life got extended to almost normal expectation overnight! YES this can happen if enough research is poured into it!

Thank you Beryl. Yes, we hope that this new research leads to cures. I also read the report on sugar and it is interesting too. According to that article we have to keep to a normal weight. So cutting down anything that contributes to being over weight should probably be eliminated from our diet or controlled to reduce the risk of cancer. It mentions how bad sugary drinks are for our health and how young people are risking having future health problems from consuming these high sugar beverages. I hope we can benefit from the findings in this new research. I am careful with my sugar intake but still love chocolate. I bought the Blue Zone cook book and it has some very interesting advice on how to live a long, healthy life. Cheers Marlene

i like chocolate too but usually go for the dark chocolate. I make a drink using cacao powder with vanilla. Fortunately sugary drinks are not my thing!

That sounds good to me. I have both of those ingredients so I will give that a try. I will make it with a plant based milk. Adding vanilla will make it taste like a chocolate milk shake. Yummy. Thank you. M.

Re. wt control. I eliminated all sugar filled drinks except my morning coffee, drink water w/lemon or slices of a fresh vegie and lost 10 lbs over a period of a year w/o otherwise making big diet changes. Now working on increased walking and exposure to sunlight as I often get SAD as the length of sunshine each day decreases. Hopefully a good side effect will be the burning of more calories!
