hello fellow members of a club none of us wanted to join!

I am on Ibrance 100mg and fulvestravent injections one a month for mets to spine and node in chest. I have noticed that my vaginal discharge has increased and I generally feel very itchy and uncomfortable down below. I tried tretmyself for thrush with the pessary and cream but still feel uncomfortable. Has anyone else experienced symptoms such as mine?

I'm actually having the opposite happen. No itching and dry. Absolutely NO discharge of ANY amount. I don't know if that's just as bad or not or if it's normal. Well, I guess that makes us bookends huh? 🤝 Howdy!

Have you tried the vaginal pessaries for dryness they may help.

I’m always very hot, sweaty and itchy and recently had a yeast infection which I haven’t had in 40 years! It seems to be getting worse and summer didn’t help. Just another phase in the game?

Im not on the same drugs as you but i have those symptoms.

Whatever i try doesnt last long and the itching comes back again.

.my advice: wear cotton knickers , if youre through the menopause ask for local oestrogen replacement. Cut down on sugary foods.

I am going to cut sugar from my diet for this month ( well try anyway). Trouble is I have a sweet tooth but I have to curb it.

I've replaced sugar with honey in stuff I need sweetened (mostly my coffee and tea).

I am on ribociclib and fulvestrant and I have the opposite problem. Itching but dry. No discharge at all! Anyway annoying....

I think it doesn't matter what combo you are on it comes back. As mentioned before it is a lowered immune system. Also, Tamoxifen will cause thickening of the uterus wall. The lowest dose is just as effective aChnd solves the problem.

I was on an oral SERD in a clinical trial and had a discharge. I couldn't figure out the cause or which doc to see. I had a urine test, nothing. Went to gynecologist. Yes, discharge, nothing wrong with it. I didn't tell oncologist but I think it should be listed as a side effect. (I am very creative when it comes to side effects: they always have to look way down in the list to see that it is a side effect of whatever med I am on.) When I went off the SERD, it went away. Now on anastrozole, I have itching. Pretty bad. They have given me cortisone and other ointments for itching elsewhere. A little leery of putting in down there.

I am on the same combo as you for almost 2 years and no problems in that area. I was on Anastrazole for 7 years after my original bc diagnosis and never had any itching. All the different possible side effects affect us differently or not at all. One interesting one though and not talked about is with Ibrance. I am recovering from pneumonia with the only symptoms of mild shortness of breath and back pain when I would breath in deeply. I was shocked when it was diagnosed as pneumonia with no other symptoms. If you look at side effects for Ibrance both of these are listed. After 10 days on 2 antibiotics my breathing is better but back pain is still there. I insisted on a follow up chest x-ray as I was scheduled to see Onc on 9/27 and it showed all clear. I am puzzled about the back pain still being an issue. As of today, hasn’t gotten worse but hasn’t gotten better. Please be vigilant of these symptoms if you take Ibrance. Push for answers. These can be serious. I’ll post if something else is shown to be the cause. Scheduled an appt with my Pulmonologist to get answers about the back pain. Only thing I can think of for now unless he refers me to someone else.😳

I had the same problem start when I switched from Letrozole to Faslodex (Fulvestrant). I started to use organic panty liners and I change them out every time I go to the bathroom (often) and the problem resolved with doing so. Please be careful not to use anti yeast creams like Fluconozole, many of these types of medications interact with Ibrance and the other CDK inhibitors and it can cause very serious problems. I hope your problem resolves, it can be pretty miserable! Take care!

Just follow your oncologist's advice about this. They have the best answers.
