For example , I puppy sit my friends Yorkie named Nala. What a little cutie. She makes me feel good and she loves me! 😍
Also, I was able to enjoy a double scoop of sea salt caramel ice cream 🍦 with a chocolate dipped waffle cone mmmmmm without wanting to shoot myself! Since my MBC diagnosis, treatments, and menopause, my weight has fluctuated— more up ; less down! Lol! So, I cut out delicious foods once enjoyed like 🍝 pasta, 🥯 bread , and wine 🍷 ( well not much wine). 😉 No more!
I whine 😢 about not being able to travel much due to Covid etc. I had to cancel two international trips. Now with my Met affecting my lungs I have to be extremely careful.
So, enjoying life is not always about the BIG things…those little lovely things can make you happy! I am making memories!
Be strong MBC Chics!X

Keep enjoying those little pleasures ! I have never deprived myself of little daily food/sweet treats during my nearly five years of treatment (Ibrance /Letrozole) , and yes , I too have put on weight on this combination, but I believe mental health is just as important! Yesterday I went out for the afternoon on my ebike , a 14 mile round trip in my local countryside to a farm /ice cream parlour and enjoyed an ice cream in the sunshine ...enjoyed every minute!
Being able to find joy in the little things is a gift- and one you obviously have in abundance. Make sure you allow yourselves treats, you deserve them!
Hi Hotlanta! I always enjoy your posts, they make me smile…yes, it is the little things that get you through the days, weeks months and years. Keep enjoying them and making little memories that keep you smiling! Even without MBC life is too short! Eat dessert first! 🍰
It is the little things that keep you happy with the big things thrown in. Right now we all have to limit the big things, like travel, but never mind. Sounds like fun with your babysitting Nila. Keep it up.
You are so right and good to point that out every so often. I babysat my granddaughter last night and had such a wonderful time- We had pizza for dinner and donuts for breakfast - obviously I am not one that worries about indulging - lol! Hope everyone enjoys their day!
You're so right. The little things in life can give us so much pleasure (whether we have cancer or not)
My favourite is when my cat gently paws my face and purrs loudly when I'm in bed to tell me she loves me. I'm practicing my purring to show her my appreciation in cat language
