Copay assistance for Ibrance

Lilykristymichael profile image

My copay assistance has run out and I am told they are no longer taking applications for this year. I am 81 years old and retired and cannot afford my Ibrance. Does anyone have suggestions of how to obtain funding? Thank you so much. Madlyn

Pfizer Oncology Together Program offers free medication. Request forms from Pfizer to be completed by you and your oncologist.

Good luck and I hope you are able to get your Ibrance for free through this program.

All the best,

Maura❤️

Thank you so much Maura. Is there an income requirement with this program? Madlyn

Yes there is an maxim income requirement in order to be considered

Yes Madlyn but they don’t post it on the form so I’m not sure. I’m 73 and retired on a small pension. Without this program, I would not be able to afford Ibrance.

Good luck and I hope they will help you. Pfizer also work with companies that donate money to fund scholarship programs.

I second this, ask your oncologist to submit the forms for you. Pfizer’s program is how I got mine for free. Initially the oncologist’s office did the entire application, then once I was approved I just had to call each month to order the next month’s supply and they would mail it very quickly. I just went off my ibrance and really wish I had some extra, I would’ve sent you mine too like the person below. Good luck!

Hi, Madlyn, I have a 2 month supply of Ibrance, unopened, one expires in May and one in July. It stopped working for me and I am on a different treatment now. My oncologist won’t take it and I was going to throw it away, which is a shame considering how much it cost. I am in US, in Princeton, and can ship it to you if you are interested. In any case, good luck with finding an affordable solution.

All the best,

Marina

Hello Marina:

Yes, I am sure I can use this. I will be glad to pay you for sending. I am not sure how to give you my address without the entire world seeing it!

Cheerio,

Hi Madlyn,So sorry you’re in this situation but glad to see other posts with good information which may be helpful. 🤞

If you want to send Marina your address privately, just click on her username at the top of her message. That will take you to a page where you’re given the option to send her a private message. Hope that works.

Good luck to you in getting your Rx. It really should not be this hard and cause such worry.

Take care and all best, Kathleen

Were you getting private funding? I was getting copay assistance for almost four years from different organizations. I never did a thing; my specialty pharmacy found the funding for me. When private funding ran out, I was able to get assistance from Pfizer; again, pharmacy did all the work for me. Do you have a specialty pharmacist or perhaps a social worker at your hospital that could help, or someone from your oncologist's office. There are income requirements. My sole income is SS and 2 small pensions, totaling about $2300/month. If you qualified for assistance in your previous program, you probably qualify for other programs. Your pharmacy/doctor's office should be aware of what assistance is available.

When I looked at the paperwork a year ago I think the income was $80,000. For me it was way higher than our income. You can call them up and you’ll find them really nice. The lady answered all my questions. In the end I didn’t add Ibrance so I didn’t need the application.

The PAN Foundation offers grants for copay assistance. It is income based. It might not cover the entire year but it will help.

Hello Madlyn,

I am in a similar financial situation, and my only income is social security disability insurance; $1967. per month. I am in the US, in CA. As another person mentioned that her Ibrance was completely payed for, so was mine. The specialty pharmacy is called US Bioservices and I believe that they are based in TX. Mined shipped VERY quickly and was sent from Anaheim, CA. Here is the phone # for US Bioservices. 1 (877) 757-0667. Call them and see what they need from you, and/or your oncologist. I was told that the medication retails for $14, 192. per MONTH! There was NO WAY that I could have afforded to purchase this, the 10 months that I was on it.

I did nothing. I believe my oncologist submitted paperwork on my behalf, and out of nowhere US Bioservices contacted me to start my prescriptions arriving, most times two weeks before the previous monthly supply, ran out.

I am now receiving my month Verzenio from the same specialty pharmacy, US Bioservices.

I hope that this helps you!

Sincerely,

Colleen

You bc are welcome, Madlyn; I hope it helps. I was SO shocked that I got a prescription that retails for $14,100. per month, for nothing.

Look into US Bioservices.

Best,

Colleen
