Hi everyone. I am now on fulverstant injections and soon will be on zeledronic acid infusions. Have 6 large inoperable tumors. Feel OK but scan results soon. Keep trying to live in the Now . How do you all feel. ? Not easy to be positive is it. Last scan showed mets to bones, spine etc. How do you all cope? Look forward to your support.

Hi Aprilrose21

It is quite true when you say it is hard to be positive but in our various situations staying

positive is key, even though it is hard and a struggle for us, we must not loose faith and grab all the positive vibes possible to cope with what we are going through.

I usually think that there is always someone with worse problems than my own, so try and remain upbeat and positive because of that fact, and those people in a much worst position will be forever in my prayers. We have to enjoy life to the full as we do not know how long we have so every day should be a joy even if we have to force ourselves to keep an optimistic outlook on life and all it brings. You take care and God Bless.

Hi Aprilrose! I was diagnosed in June ‘16 with MBC with Mets to bones. 14 in all… Had Zometa for 4 years. It appears that some people have a lot of problems with bone Mets. And others like myself forget where they are…Hopefully they don’t bother u any.

Live in the now with knowledge that whatever comes your way you will take in your stride and manage as and when.

My breast cancer mets were in bone, brain, liver, nodal, lungs. All are being managed by treatments with minimal side effects (kadcyla for body mets and Gamma radiation therapy for the brain).

I also have hypoglycemia (non diabetic) which is a nightmare to manage, a herniated disc in my spine (managed with steroid injections and pain killers) and a brain aneurysm (I rarely think about this since getting the cancer diagnosis).

But still I feel fortunate. I could be someone who has to still work and bring up children. Fortunately I was able to retire a few years early. So I count my blessings every day.

I hope this helps.

All the best

Xx

Aprilrose21, I have 4th stage breast cancer with Mets in the bones, spine, pelvis, met in my lung, and many Mets in my liver! I have taken Ibrance, then VERZENIO, and because of activity in my pelvis and live, they have put me on chemo pills! I take 8 a day ( 4 in the Morning and 4 in the evening). Right now I feel fine and for the most part after 4 years of treatment, I have done well! If they can keep the cancer stable, that’s all we can hope for! I have faith and I believe a very positive attitude helps keep you going! There have been many people praying for me and ironically some of them have died since I was diagnosed, and not from cancer! You must remember that NO ONE has the corner on life and everyday changes things for many, not just cancer patients. You don’t die until your time is up! Therefore, stop concentrating on when that will be and spend your good days living your best live and appreciate what you have right now! God decides! Good luck to you and stay strong! You will be okay!❤️🙏🏻
