Hi,
I was wondering if anyone else gets migraines and the crazy vision issues on Ibrance. I had them when I first started. But they went away. I’m a year in and they’re back. It’s not debilitating but they’re annoying. Happy Holidays Everybody!!!
Hi,

Im sorry you are having migraines and vision issues. I haven’t had that side effect. I’ve been on Ibrance since May of 2019. My biggest side effects besides getting tired easily is memory loss, toe nails falling off, and pain in my knees. I asked my doctor if a lower dose would help alleviate some of the side effects but she didn’t want to put me on a lower dose. I’m taking 125 mg. I guess it’s better than the alternative so I just live with it. Can you take something for the migraines? I think the migraines and vision go together. Sorry.
Thank you for the reply. I take Tylenol. Ibrance is working for me so I’ll take bumps as long as I can. I will talk to my doctor about a lower dosage.
Okay, I could be really wrong, but before I had MBC I had that - stabbing headaches and kaleidoscope vision. I had to diagnose myself, docs said I was stressed. Turns out I had an unusual autoimmune disease, giant cell arteritis, temporal arteritis. It is not easy to catch, but there is a blood test (test for inflammation). Left untreated, you can have a stroke to the eye that can cause blindness. Before I had mbc, I told everyone I know that was female and 60 or over about it, especially (for some reason), if you are fair, Northern European descent. I was on high dose of prednisone for a couple of years, hell in itself. Please check it out.
I didn't have migraines, thank goodness, but I did have a non-stop headache for a few weeks when I first started Ibrance (during the first month). In month two, they switched me to the tablet form, and I had no headaches at all. I am now almost through my third month, and I have no side effects outside of some joint pain. I do think I might have some minor vision stuff going on too, where my vision seems less clear when looking at my computer. Kinda comes and goes. Are you on the capsule?
Sorry about the migraines and vision issues. I hope they are not too limiting for you. I have been on Ibrance for over 2.5 years. Have not had any problems that bother me. But I do have Kaleidoscope vision /optical migraines...but I had those from time to time before I sent on Ibrance. For me I think coffee is my main trigger. But I do notice that I have had a change in vision (I have prisms in my glasses and need to get new lenses as the prism prescription has changed. This all may be somewhat related to Ibrance but for me I think it is coffee and too much time on digital devices (small screens, lots of "movement", quick eye movement to keep track of things. So I am reducing caffeine and drastically reducing digital device time. Actually anything that has my eyes "jumping/refocusing quickly" (including word searches, soduko, etc).
