I had a liver biopsy two days ago. I know it has only been a couple of days, but I have a constant ache...feels like a stitch in my side, like when you run too fast. It hasn't gone away. I spoke to the nurse from the surgeon's office yesterday and she said to call them if it isn't better in a week. I'm on pain meds for my RA, so can't really take any extra pain meds. But, I had a biopsy of my sternum that barely hurt at all a few months ago. Anyone else have lingering pain from a liver biopsy? I don't want to be one of those patients who complains over everything.

I hope Sandra's post is reassuring to you. And often after procedures, injuries, etc, the day after and day after that are often the worst as far as pain goes! It's hard when you are in pain, especially on a Friday! But if the pain gets worse, I would certainly call. It's okay to call a little too often than not quite often enough! I hope you start feeling better soon.
I recently had a liver biopsy. My ultrasound tech said it would feel Ike I had been punched in the stomach. It kind of felt that way. It’s been over a week and I am feeling pretty normal. I hope your feeling better soon. xo
