Regarding immunotherapy

Any body have tried immunotherapy treatment for metastatic breast cancer...plz share results if anyone have.....

I went to a breast cancer town hall at Northwestern last weekend where somebody asked that question. Apparently, there is a trial going on, and I don't remember what they said about early results. But it couldn't have been amazing or I'd remember! You might try looking .it up.

I've read that the drug "Opdivo" has had impressive results in people with MBC, even though it's not "approved" for that specifically! OMG, can't BELIEVE that these doc's. will let people suffer and die without trying EVERYTHING in their power to heal people. I'm Stage IV and the cancer has spread to my jaw, and I'm in EXCRUCIATING pain...I see my oncologist tomorrow, and I'm going to DEMAND that I be given this "Opdivo" drug...it's a last resort for me. I suggest everyone on here who has MBC do the same! As I've read, cancer is cancer, and these drugs stimulate the immune system to identify and attack cancer cells. Isn't there only ONE immune system?! The fact that they're saying it only works on "specific types of cancer" makes NO sense, whatsoever! They're LYING to us, I believe! I was diagnosed two years ago, and I don't trust these doctors AT ALL, anymore after everything I've been through. My advice: Question EVERYTHING, and do your OWN research. Good luck and God bless everyone who is battling this nightmare disease! Remember this--you are NOT alone...unfortunately, there are WAY too many of us out there battling cancer.
