My mom had 6 cycles of chemo. It has been around 2 months since her last chemo, but neuropathy is still the same, no improvement.

Anyone taking any kind of medicine or oil or anything that might help?

Thank you 😊

My husband has it but origin is undiagnosed. He has never had chemo. He has no cancer. That is all me. I have only sharp inconsistent rare pins and needle neuropathy pain once and a while. I think it’s great for 4 years total of chemo I feel lucky. Maybe you can talk to your moms doctors about what my husband uses. He uses narcotics and high ratio of CBD oil to THC. He says and I can tell the CBD is best. I wish you the best of luck.

Has he had an MRI of the spine? A pinched sciatic nerve can cause neuropathy. My sciatic nerve is damaged and I have very little feeling in my legs and feet and that has affected by balance and gait and puts me at risk of falling! I've had two nasty falls, one with multiple ankle fractures that have been worse to deal with than this lousy cancer is.

I did accupuncture during my chemo when initially diagnosed Stage II. I had actuallly started for ringing in my right ear 2 years before my initial diagnosis then increased my treatments while going through chemo and radiation. Began feeling neuropathy when I was on Taxol. They addressed it and no problem today. I have continued with accupuncture and believe it can help a number of issues including nerve and also hot flashes. The question is always cost. Some insurance covers and some centers offer alternative medicine to cancer patients so I suggest worth exploring

My brother used Anodyne therapy for diabetic neuropathy. I don't know if neuropathy from chemo is similar enough for that to work--something to ask your onc about. My physical therapist told me that PT departments used to have Anodyne equipment and used it on their diabetic patients and that he always saw it help. It uses some type of infrared light. Medicare stopped covering it for some reason and the equipment can be found on line and costs in the $900 - 1000 range. For diabetics, it has to be used long term and if stopped the neuropathy comes back.

You can try an excellent B complex but also one of the B’s is good for this, I forget which one right at moment. Also I would take a good amount of COQ 10

I have chemo induced neuropathy in the tips of all of my toes (does not affect my gait) and the pinky of my non-dominant hand.

I, too, use CBD oil for this and inflammation in my spine and ribs. I am fortunate that my daughter is dating a guy whose uncle has a giant medical marijuana business in CA. He asked me exactly which symptoms I was looking to ease. He made a custom CBD tincture for me which was much stronger and darker than an inflammation tincture I had purchased from his website. I truly feel that I get tremendous overall relief from the neuropathy and a benefit for the vast inflammation throughout my body.

I use1ml once or twice a day. I hold it under my tongue for a minute or more. I swallow it and chase it with a drink of any kind, usually ice water. My oncologist gives it her blessing especially if I feel it is helping.

I hope this helps and you find something that works for you.
