Exactly as described. I just don't know if my lack of sleep is aggravating the RLS or if the RLS is causing the sleeplessness.

Exactly! I did two sleep studies and both were disastrous. (They wired me up and said “time to go to sleep” at 9pm. But I didn’t fall asleep until 11pm. (My normal sleep time.) Then my RLS woke me up about 1am and they had to unplug the wires so I could walk in their hallways for 2 hours. Then they hooked up all the wires and I fell back to sleep about 4am. Then they woke me up before 6am. “Time to go home.” I had to drive myself home after about 4 hrs of sleep.

It all sounds comical now. But it sure wasn’t comical at the time.

Haha, this is hilarious! I've never done a sleep study, precisely because this is what I expect.

My Doctor wants me to have a sleep study even though i tried to explain. i don’t need one , i only have RLS and having a sleep study won’t help in anyway. Travelling to the sleep study clinic is not an option for me i don’t travel well . I would be one of those that’s up and down pacing in the night up to 4/5 times a night and drink either a cup of tea or coffee. I am hoping to talk to the consultant once a appointment comes through i spoke to some one at the clinic that said they can do a home phone call discussion
