Yes. It's just gabapentin you can't.

Why not?
Magnesium will reduce the effectiveness of gabapentin if taken at the same time. I actually experienced this myself. My gabapentin dose completely controlled my symptoms and then I needed to take more. It took awhile but then I realized I had started taking magnesium which was included in something else I was taking. I switched the timing and was able to go back to my previous dose. I can give you sources for this if you would like.
