what scale jewelry scale

So I have buprenorphine tablets in 2mg size. I want to be able to start with a 1/8 dose of this so looking at jewelry scales.....phew there are a lot to pick from. What scale should I look for? I also hope to use this scale for reducing the pramipexole down and need to be able to weigh shaved off amounts if necessary.....the common scales are 50g/0.001g; 200g/0.01g; 500g/0.01g. Advice greatly appreciated.

I just bought two different lab scales from ebay, both read to 1Mg and so far seem perfect. This one was $42 (Digital Milligram Scale100g/.0001g Pro Lab Balance Diamond Battery). The other one was $82 and looked more classy with an enclosure all around it for draft protection but doesn't seem to function any better. The $82 one is twice the size and prettier, if that is worth another $40.

I just bought one on Amazon that is .01gram for $8 and just got it today. Seems to work well. I got mine to taper pramaprexole as well. Can I ask you how much you plan to shave off for the taper? I was going to shave off an amount from my .50mg but not sure how to know how much of a reduction to do and know how much to shave at a time.

Following advice from here I should start reducing by half a .125 tablet. My tablets are all .25 mg, so I will need to 1/4 them and reduce by a 1/4 tablet every couple weeks, depending on how things settle out. I will need the scale for this as not sure the pill cutter will work for such a small amount. I will also be increasing the gabapentin by 100mg every couple days. These are 300mg capsules that I could open to measure out 100mg. Otherwise I have to contact neurologist for a new prescription for 100's. I don't want to push my luck as she has been amazing so far...
