I have a query for Sue or Joel's please, I am still taking 0.75mg ropinerole and 300mg Gabapentin at what is now roughly an hour earlier than I was, at around 5pm and then 600mg Gabapentin around 8pm, I've been waking up at around 5am with restless legs, should I stay on 0.75 of ropinerole still for now, or lower the dose to 50mg which I'm due to do today and then up Gabapentin, please advise me when you can, thank you x

Hello all, I have a query for Sue or Joel's please
Change the 300 mg so it is only 2 hours before the 600 mg, Yes go ahead and reduce the ropinirole but I generally don't advise people to increase the gabapentin above 900 mg until you are off ropinirole for several weeks and your symptoms have settled.
Hi Cobobay,I didn't see this, as I only receive a notification if you message me via chat or put my full name, joolsg, in the post.
I agree with SueJohnson.
Gabapentin won't stop the worst of the withdrawals at each reduction and when you drop the last dose. So do ask your GP to prescribe a low dose opioid, like tramadol, codeine or oxycodone on a short term basis to cover the more severe RLS.
Or cannabis if you can get it in Guernsey. It's legal for medical reasons in the UK, but only available by private prescription from private cannabis clinics.
Vaping cannabis flower/bud will help when the withdrawals are bad after you drop thr last dose.
