Long Covid

I have had RLS for decades and have had more help on this site from wonderful people than from any medical person. Currently I take Methadone 15 mg daily which gives me about 5 hours of broken sleep per night. I can live with it as its the best I have had for decades.

I wonder if some Marijuana would help and if its worth trying to get it?

Lately I have had a disturbing amount of RLS symptoms in the afternoon . For this I take some old leftover sinemet which helps.-- perhaps twice a week.

I also seem to have pretty severe Long Covid. I have most of the signs and symptoms of Long Covid, except depression , which I have never had, but do have a ridiculous amount of anxiety.

I am nearly 87.

I would be looking to increase the methadone by a small amount.

And check for triggers - food ,drink and medications.

You have done great to cope with so much. Hopefully it will get better.

I agree with Madlegs1. Increase the methodone. But yes Marijuana would help but try increasing the methadone first. For anxiety ask your doctor for a prescription for buspar (buspirone.

My experience with marijuana for RLS has been mixed. It helps sometimes, usually when RLS is relatively mild. I’d say it would probably be worth the effort. Ask for indica, not sativa. Indica is more sedating.

Thanks to you all for practical advice. I see my sleep specialist at the end of August so will have to hold on till then and hope for cooperation — never a given as you know.
