ACUPUNCTURE

I remember reading a post regarding acupuncture for RLS but as I was fairly new to the site and have absorbed soo much information I've forgotten the replies and now can't find them.

Would you mind?

Acupuncture seems to depend on the practitioner and state of mind of patient.

Scientifically - it has no better results than placebo.

Some people here find it good- others get no benefit .

Cheers.

I believe that I might actuality give it a try.

I have actually had a bit of experience with acupuncture many many years ago when I was suffering quite badly with PMT.

I realized that it was beginning to get outof control when I was mowing the garden. I was having difficulty keeping the brush cutter working.

Eventually I lost it and my temper seriously wanted to take over. I remember quite clearly picking up the cutter and taking a good swing at one of the cement water tanks. I was so anfry, rhat the compulsion to smash something, anything, was simply overwhelming.

But luckily for me I somehow managed to calm myself down and it was then that I understood that I did indeed require some sort of assistance. And that's when I decided to give the acupuncture a go.

And surprisingly, I actually had some success (albeit not quite earth shattering. But I did find 100% relief for all together for approx 15--18 months.

I tried it years ago, when my ex was paying for it. If insurance would cover it I would try it again. TOO expensive to try it again, did not really work the first time, and my RLS is way worse than it was back then. Will stick to my meds.
