My biggest stressor right now is the American Health system that bases care on meeting statistics and numbers instead of Patient Centered Care

Toxic relationship and environment is not good for someone with mental health issues. Having love around you heals faster than anything else.

My stresses are from my husband. I'm mostly a placid person.

Poor levels of communication & information across all areas of life (work, home, health, etc).

The simpler & easier you can make your life the better. Technology has so many advantages but it is also creating huge inequalities across society and across generations.

Talking and having people to talk to & ask questions of is key to a healthy society.

My mental health was affected before diagnosis (although I was only aware of this later) and during standard inadequate testing and treatment for hypothyroidism and not being taken seriously by GPS, when experiencing exacerbating hypo symptoms regardless of blood tests showing normal!!!! No-one helped me.

I don’t have problems with my mental health, fortunately- just the fatigue - and the Flecainide which keeps my heart in order brilliantly seems to have added to the chronic fatigue I have and ruined my previously trouble free digestion, too. But I am 80 and had well over 70 years of healthy active life before these problems started. I have practiced meditation off and on for many years and only mention stress when I tell people in certain situations that I have to avoid it with my heart condition! Fortunately my husband is able to care for me and do the stuff I am unable to do now.

I’m not a very stressed person generally but GPs not understanding that my high cholesterol is due to my very low T3 really gets me upset. M cholesterol level has been 10 for at least for 32 years - I was put on statins at 34 and still on them and still have no heart problems (thankfully). They refuse to accept my private blood tests which show my levels are abnormal and won’t accept that T3 and T4 is more important than TSH! I dread my annual review as all they want to do is reduce my Levothyroxine even though I’m clearly under medicated and probably need T3. I once had a receptionist ring me up and said the GP has told me to cancel your prescription and she did! It then cost me £1500 to get a private Endocrinologist to write to the GP to get my prescription reinstated. The Endo turned out to be a Diabetes Endo and didn’t believe in T3 either! My GP has marked my notes as ‘Well Read’ - shorthand for thinks she knows it all!!

carer responsibilities for someone I never dreamt I would have to care for, bickering relatives and the state of everything government should have a hand in, but doesn’t care about. An NHS that mostly doesn’t begin to understand any thyroid issues.

Being disabled all my life, isolation received from epilepsy amongst other conditions, four hundred plus seizures can be VERY traumatic, plus the absolute general ignorance of NHS of how I put up with my inner self and how I am still 'treated', my biggest help MYSELF, pure survival.

Other mental health issues that there is no NHS help for, in my case an eating disorder and undiagnosed autism.

My GP practice actually makes me so much worse with there antics playing god with my prescriptions every single month without fail and wrong diagnosises are very regular,Im starting to get used to it now but it still knocks me sideways when they purposely try to agravate me so they are one of my greatest obstacles which i have now started to turn around and actually enjoy seeing their displeasure when i manage to spot what they have done beforehand so i can correct it before it causes more upset and

Grief induced depression and workplace anxiety. Losing another psychologist due to insurance coverage issues has exacerbated my current level of anxiety and depression. Lack of quality mental health services in the world is disturbing on EVERY LEVEL.
