Dad had purchased a tilt back wheelchair in May '18. After he passed I put it in the basement where it sat for a few months. I finally decided to do something with it and placed it for sale. I had no takers and dropped the price a few times. Couple days ago a lady got in touch with regards to it for her son. After a bit of conversation I learned he is 25 years old with severe cerebral palsy. He is blind, can't talk or walk, is fed via a stomach pump, and has occasional seizures. They arrived, we got him into the wheelchair and after I made a few adjustments it fit him well. The lady said she would take it and would go the bank next day.
Long story short she was trying to get a small loan to buy the chair. Seems Medicaid won't cover another chair for 2 years and the one he has just isn't working well anymore( I saw him in it, very poor fit). She is single and caring for her son 24/7, we can all relate to her story in some way or another. Anyway she didn't qualify for a loan so had no means of purchasing the chair. My wife and I talked it over and decided we should just give it to her, her son will really benefit from it. I called her back with the news and I think she cried on the phone for 5 minutes. The only thing I asked of her was if/when the time comes and her son doesn't need it anymore to just pass it along to the next person who does.
Dad bought and paid for it.... I just did the "leg work" to make sure it got where it's needed.

You’re an amazing person. Such act of kindness is what keeps humanity alive. There’s no better thing in this world than being able to help the needy. Thank you so much for sharing this here. I was in tears reading this.
Ron, l just got your email ... you are a wild & crazy Good Guy. I love that you can deliver the chair to them... Drive safe! We may only get 1 inch of snow here today. Granni B
It was the only thing that needed to be done, and you had the generosity and love to do it! Thanks! Inasmuch as you did it to the least of these my brothers, you did it for me! Praise God!
That is lovely I think it is so important to make something positive out of our grief, that’s made my day. I hope you have a lovely day and thanks for sharing that lovely gesture.
Dadshelper, what a wonderful person you are. ❤️ I had a similar experience a week ago. An acquaintance of mine recently lost her husband to ALS. She heard about Sam having PSP & gave us a lift, which lifts from floor in the event of Sam’s falling. She would not let me pay for it, I was so willing, but her request was to ‘pay it forward’. There are amazing people in the world. You did good! Prayers go out to you.
There are still kind, caring, and amazing people in this world and Ron you and your wife are two of them. God bless you for your compassion to that woman and her son.
