If you have any heart related issues, my advice would be to stay away from Lupron.

Years ago I had my mitral valve in my heart replaced, which is doing good... now.

I was on Lupron with a shot every three months for 15 months. At the 15-month time, I noticed that I had a really rough time waling up stairs - to the point I was pulling myself up each stair using the hand rail.

When I received my last shot, I found out from my cardiologist that the Lupron had affected my heart. With each heart beat the blood in the heart should be pumping oxygenated blood through the heart aroun 88 percent. My heart doctor told me that my heart was only pumping 43 percent of the blood and my feet and ankles were just not recieving the oxygenated blood. Heart failure is when it would reach 41 percent.

I was taken off the Lupron and my heart returned to normal.

Were you done with the Lupron? Did they switch you to another ADT to keep PSA in check? How are you now? I’m 73 and have a pacemaker and will find out this week what 2 doctors will recommend for me. Scary!

Yes, I completed the 18-months of Lupron. I was 0.00 PSA from October 2018 to January 2023. Now the prostate cancer is “gone in the prostate bed” but is now in two upper back an the reading was 2.6 PSA – The doctor wanted me to go back on Lupron and I told him No! I am now on a daily Orgovxx pill.
