I just had an early 3 month follow-up appointment with my RO after I started having pain and skin peeling on the head and shaft of my penis. I asked if that could be caused by radiation having passed through it during treatment. I don't know why I hadn't thought to reposition myself prior to each treatment. Initially, when I mentioned it, he didn't think it would have been caused by treatment, but after looking at it, he thought otherwise. He thinks it could be a side effect that a lot of men may not report for whatever reason (curious that some men continue to be shy to discuss male-related health issues even after treatment). At his guidance, I'm using petroleum jelly to address the dryness, but the pain is quite unpleasant. He expects it will heal but to keep watch over the next week.
Have others here ever experienced this?

That is the point : men should name a dog as a dog, its not a cat.
I went thru surgery and had the "normal" negative side effects, plus minus what i ve read here before. But beside impotence for instance there are more intense and longer orgasms than with a prostate. That s something (positive ?) i never heard before i choose surgery.
