Greeting all, Next month I will undergo Cryoablation for a 1MM GS 4+3 tumor that was still remaining in my prostate after two rounds of vascular-targeted photodynamic therapy (VTP) at MSK. For those of you who have had Cryoablation, what side effects should I expect?

Is the cryo whole gland or focal? And where is the tumor?
It’s focal and it’s on the right side of the gland.
Right lateral? apex? base?
Right Mid Lateral
So I guess the nearest possibly troublesome areas are the right neurovascular bundle and the urethra. Seems pretty safe. What does the cryo doctor say?
He seems confident, but I just wanted to hear from others as to their experience. He has done a lot of these procedures so I am hopeful. Thanks for following up with me.
