Had IMRT as well as brachytherapy in 2013 for Gleason 9 PC. PSA was very low for while but recently has increased. I just had another PSA test in anticipation of a visit to my urologist. I moved from where I had the treatment and the urologist and will be int he area soon so ... I was hoping that the PSA would have gone down but it has gone up. Last year it hovered around 6 but the latest is now 9. Did not do anything including masturbation, sex catheterization, bicycling for at least a week prior to test.
Trying to get as much information possible for uro visit next week. So a few questions.
Can this be normal of does it definitely point to treatment failure?
Should i get a free PSA test and will it indicate anything different or is that only useful information for screening prior to PC diagnosis.
Anything like a bone scan recommended? I just had a CT Uroscan the results of which i will be bringing to uro apointment.
I am having joint pain in my feet which i never had before. Have had back pain for years and an MRI that shows significant degeneration and stenois so that does not concern me but does PC of bones show up as joint pain
