What is my PSADT?

My PSA on Jan 26 was 3.28 My urologist put me on antibiotic for 30 days and I retested yesterday at 3.66. I'm using the MSK PSADT calculator and doubling time varies depending on length of history I input. Most articles on PSADT say not to use real long histories, like 10 years for example, but rather maybe 3-5 years. If I use 3 years for 2021, 2022, 2024 (I didnt test in 2023): 1.02, 1.19, 3.28, I get doubling time of 20.5 months. I think the 24 month spread between 2022 and 2024 may be a problem and giving me longer doubling time. I wanted to see what it would be if I estimated a number for Jan 2023. If I assume on Jan 2023 I had a score of 1.40 which would be a linear increase similar to the years 20, 21, and 22, and I drop 2021, then the doubling time is 16.4. I'm not using the number from yesterday because many articles say not to use intervals of less than 3 months as it's just statistical noise.

Is MSK still a reliable calculator for doubling time?

You have reason to suspect that prostatitis is skewing your PSA, so it is meaningless.

Silliness unlimited!

The exact opposite is true. Oversampling reduces measurement noise.

Just a note. This is how my PC was detected. I had a UTI and my PSA would not go down. So off to a MRI

I had similar data. I never experienced in my life a sharp PSA increase due to prostatitis. It was PCa for me as I had suspected. Has the character of your prostate changed?

They kept fending me off. But when i got the chance for biopsy, i chose saturation biopsy. 1 needle per cc. They found it after the doc was adamant and 99% sure i was cancer free.
