Low risk intermediate soon to have SBRT.

I've had twinges on and off for a few yrs, mostly right shoulder, it's random and not very painful but sometimes I think it's something more sinister since my diagnosis, probably due to long term swimming.

Am I paranoid about nothing and with my diagnosis a scan is not needed.

I think most of us have had a twinge here or there, and our minds jumped to "is that the cancer?" Your mind is not always your friend.

I once had a psychologist tell me I was "living in the negative prediction". (That was almost the only thing he got right)

I’ve found that my mind is capable of raising my blood pressure to concerning levels with no apparent physical reason. I can also dwell on a possible physical symptom until it feels real even though it’s not. If a real concern, a lab test would confirm, but it doesn’t. Your mind is powerful. I am learning to focus my brain power on wellness. So much better than becoming a hypochondriac.

Arthritis? Rotator Cuff? Tendon tear? Swimmers use their shoulder muscles more than anyone....so twinges and and pain might have a mechanical source. It's probably beneficial for you to see a good sports medicine doc, xray, etc.

Agreeing with everyone here that its easy to leap from a simple twinge to a near death prognosis. I know I do!!
