While it can supplement, there is nothing like the versatility of weights and incorporating them into a wide range of body movements and upper and lower body. Having been with a trainer for 2 years specifically to learn safe lifting while on ADT IMO it would be hard to replicate resistance bands into a full body workout similar that you could get with free weights. And if you and some gym climbing, you're golden!

I use my own body weight, bands and a set of dumbells. I think you can do a lot of beneficial work with bands, especially pulling exercises. Pushing exercises require a bit more thought. They do not require much storage space, you can take them with you if you travel and I think they they are somewhat safer to use. A TRX/suspension system is also handy bit of kit.

Thks for that, I'm gonna increase my exercise regime, may help if I ever need ADT in the future, having SBRT soon for localised pc gleason 3+4, hopefully no recurrence SBRT has high % cure rates but I aint gotta Crystal ball, already do cardio I.e. swimming and walking.Even without recurrence the exercise wii be beneficial anyway

I do use resistance bands occasionally. However, I find gym machines better for exercising specific muscle groups, such as the my back and the back of my legs (to help balance my quads which are relatively strong). I also go to gym classes which I find really good as they push me more than I would on my own. The local gym I go to near the south coast only costs £280 p.a., has got an extensive range of equipment and free classes. So I go to Pilates, body conditioning, aerobics and kettlebells. I find those great for handling the effects of ADT. RT planning session on Tuesday followed by 7 weeks of RT 😬

I have been lifting weights for over 50 years but recently developed bad back issues (not related to weight training). I started using these - bodylastics.com/ (no affiliation) and find that I can get a very good workout. Being able to maintain a constant tension adds to the difficulty and there is lot of range of motion involved which at my age, adds to flexibility. Good luck.
